Can't you plan the tile layout so that the hole falls within one tile entirely, then cut a round hole in that tile with a diamond hole saw? Then it would only mean removing that one tile if you ever need to switch it out. I just took a look at my own air switch (not yet installed) and the mounting actually doesn't seem to involve any screws -- it uses a screw-on nut lug that tightens the switch against the wall from the back. If you use this kind, it should just require tiling up to the switch hole and installing the tile that has a hole/opening cut into it slightly smaller than the switch. Then open a larger piece of wall above that area, set the switch in place, reach down to fish the tubing and turn the nut to tighten. Then patch the wall, finish tiling above the switch, and you're done. Here's a photo of mine:

Here's one experience: We remodeled our kitchen about 7 years ago. We got a KWC Luna model in chrome. These are expensive, ours might have been around $300 at the time. We haven't regretted it. It has performed well, with no leaks. Lately, the chrome on the underside of the sprayer started to flake a little. I may have been able to get it replaced, but didn't look into it. I just put a small piece of metal tape there, you can't see it. Anyway, I would recommend these faucets. Steve

CEFreeman: Thanks for your concern- I really appreciate your words. Yes, DH spent FOUR hours at Lowes yesterday and they typed out everything we wanted, on the contract. They said we have final say on inspection after the job is done and if we don't like anything, we don't sign off until they get the guy to correct it or they get it corrected ( like getting another slab). They were pretty good with us yesterday. I know all of you gave us the best advice - we took it all to heart. But a number of factors made us finally go with this guy - including the fact that Lowes is really invested in making sure we get a good installation done. ( Yes, we were also mentally and physically fatigued which I know is not an excuse but... ). He has been installing Zodiaq, Dupont and Corian counters for a long time and also has installed Silestone for private contractors - We did call up two of them and they said he was 'good." We hope that is the case. Silestone had him on their list - they said he was 'certified". It's not so much that he doesn't know anything about it but more that he is hard to get hold of and tries to push his "views" on the customer. Lowes says he has 'done Silestone" for other Lowes stores in our state but is new to their store. I have been online searching Silestone for their certified installers and found nothing except the local phone number to call - which we did. Do keep your fingers crossed - we are keeping our toes crossed as well. KD is *on* it, though - so we feel a measure of comfort and assurance. Thank you so much again.

Hi- the quick answer is that I went with what the plumber recommended-- Grohe Lady Lux. Although he knows the salesman at Fergusson, it's their own brand- not a national brand. I couldn't find one review-- postive or negative, which I thought was odd. The plumber said stick to a national brand. For my kitchen, which sees a lot of use, I followed his advice. In my bathrooms I have a 4 types. Restoration Hardware, Kohler (from Home Depot) another brand that I don't recall the name. but was a bit more costly and then the master bathroom has Rohl faucets. The Kohler is nice, but has a low flow. The unknown brand is pretty, but I wouldn't want to use the handles everyday-- they're thin. The Rohl is great if it's in your budget. Grohe is always good!
