where is the 'new tab ' or 'safety' button?

I was looking at the 'in private' info. It says to click on the 'new tab' or 'safety' button. I have win7- where exactly are these buttons? Do they say 'new tab'.'safety'? I don't find them.....

I think there in Internet Explorer 8. Is that where your looking.

I think so....I have win 7/IE 8. I was looking at a site that does not show your history. 'private browsing'...

Another safety issue is people not walking the area to be mowed before mowing. I have three children, so it seems toys, rocks, etc. tend to find their way into the lawn and can become projectiles. This is especially bad when mowing next to a gravel road or driveway. This is why it is also important that others are not nearby when mowing (a commercial mower sent a rock through the back window of my Mom's car once as she drove by, pretty scary).

I could not go back to NOT using tabs can not even imagine it. Once you start and get used to how much time it saves you and how easy it is to do you will quickly start to love them. Plus it is easier on your pc to have only mulitple tabs open rather than having multiple instances of complete windows open. This is one thing I love about tabs. I can set up a folder up on the bookmarks toolbar in that folder I put the links to every site I visit every day, like this forum, the other forums I am on, my netvibes page which contains all my rss news feeds, my email sites. Then in the morning I go to that folder easily accessible on the top of the firefox bar right click on it and select open all in tabs. Bam immediately I have my full list of tabs open in one movement now that is a huge time saver, They are there open and ready for me to visit one after the other. I have another folder up there called tools in that one I have the links to all the security programs I have to recommend or list many times a day when helping people with pc issues, I do not have to go looking in favorites or google or where ever for them I have them all right there in that folder on my bookmarks toolbar, I left click the folder go to the one I need right click it to open in new tab and I am there. Huge asset.

chemocurl, As I've posted before, it's a Windows function. You can tile any open programs as shown in the illustration above. It doesn't have to be only FF. The illustration above shows windows tiled vertically (side-by-side for Windows Vista). The other was is tiled horizontally (stacked for Windows Vista). If you have two windows (or more) open, you can simply right click on the Windows Taskbar, and select what option you want to use. Terry

"It sounds all well and good to have a large array of things sitting along your countertop sink line" I do not think there should be an "array of things" along the back of the sink. The air gap is not required if you have a dishwasher with a high loop - dishwashers sold in the last 10 years or more come with the high-loop pre-installed. If you live in the one state in the U.S. that has a code requirement for an air gap (California), you put in the air gap for the inspection, and after that, replace it with an in-counter soap dispenser - as long as your dishwasher has a high loop hose. As has been said in this thread, use a batch feed disposal and you'll not need a button or switch anywhere for the disposal. I have a batch feed disposal. My sink has a single-hole faucet and an in-counter soap dispenser. i.e. two holes behind my sink. That is all.

Hi ilmbg,

They are in IE. Look at the top right of your IE browser. The safety tab should be there. Left click on the safety tab. This should create a drop down box. Within that drop down box, click on In Private Browsing. Should be 2nd choice down. This will bring up a full page that explains In Private Browsing.

Oh, forgot to tell you where the "New Tab" was.

Click on the "File" option in the upper left corner of your IE browser. In the drop down box...click on "New Tab". 1st option down.

bbbluz and mikie- You guys have been very clear- thanks. But... I don't have either 'safety' or the little icon that mikie showed- can I have it with yahoo toolbar or only IE? Also- does it really make it safer so others can't get your private info? Thanks

You can add the little shield to the IE toolbar by right clicking a blank spot on the IE toolbar and selecting 'Customise' then 'Add or Remove commands...'

Search your windows help for; in-private

I hate add on tool bars like yahoo's.

Yea mikie!! I now have both icons- now I can see how to browse 'in private'. Hope all this is really worth it! Thanks!

Open your Tools tab and click on it (In Private Setting).
