Turkey Brine

Hi

This is the first year I will be cooking a whole turkey for Christmas, I usually just do legs since I have other meats too. I recently heard about brining a turkey and wanted to give it a try.

Has anyone done this and does it really make the turkey (even the breast)juicy and not dry? How is the taste? I don't want to ruin the turkey. I need a good simple brine recipe nothing fancy like with sugars and fruits etc. Just simple basic herbs.

Thanks
