So many pentas are propagated by cuttings. Ask Longwood Gardens where they got the plants. Get a plant and take cuttings. Also before you buy seed, on a search engine type in "pentas trials" or similar. You can get good performance info that way, particularly if a trial is in your area. If you search you may land on one variety or color. Check the main list; often they trial several pentas if they do a penta trial. Some of the pentas that are readily available from seed turns out not to be great trial performers. The biggest issue is lack of uniformity between plants. On your search results you may have to click several pages before you see all trials. Example link below. UGA is always good as well as UoF and the Dallas trials and many others. Owbist, The "looking up http***com" has happened with many sites, many are my bookmarks. I have reset the modem as well as resetting my router. I can not bypass the router and connect directly to my computer. The tech who installed the equipment, told me all I had to do was plug the cable from the modem directly into my computer, reset the modem and it would work. It doesn't. The one time I did get to talk to a tech, she had me go into my internet setting and change my TCP/IP protocal settings to be able to connect directly. That didn't work. These problems happen on both of my computers. With my old isp, all I had to do was connect directly to my computer, no resetting the modem. The lack of communication with this company is something that I have never experience before. As stated, I have called many times, always getting the message "all our representatives are busy helping other customers, leave you name,number and nature of your problem and we will get back to you as soon as possible". I have had 2 call backs. Since I left my message the last time, it has been 4 business days. This has been going on since Nov. 12th. It's irritating enough to have these problems and then not being able to get any help just compounds that situation. The reason I switched isp is because my other isp was having problems with town radio signals interfering with their signals. (both antennas being installed on the same water tower). I am now getting my signal from a tower less than 1 and 1/2 miles away with not physical obstructions. BTW, 15 hours later, no call from the "BOSS". Part of the problem that I see is that you are not using thumbnails for the clickable images -- you're just making the images display in a smaller space so that the full images are loading when the page loads. Create small thumbnail images of the flowers that you click on to get a bigger image -- that will substantially reduce the size of your overall page. Consider optimizing your images as well -- you can substantially reduce the size of them by using a program like Macromedia Fireworks, or if that's not available, then you can do it for a small fee through this site: http://www.spinwave.com/crunchers.html Recognize that you trade quality for lower file size, so what's best is that you find a happy medium in which quality is only minimally affected, but for the largest gain in lower file size. I agree with the earlier poster -- you've got way too much on a single page. You're inundating the user with so much info that it's overwhelming. Find a way to better organize the data so it's not all on one page. Also, no offense -- but it's obvious that whoever is doing your graphics needs some help. The text graphics have very jagged and unclean edges, and some of the pictures of the people in the board of directors are very poor quality or weirdly stretched. If having a clean, well-designed appearance is important to you, then you may want to consider hiring a professional web-designer. Your site contains a lot of info, but it's currently very amateurish looking.
