WOW !! That tree is HUGE, and beautiful. I love the potting bench, may I put the photo of it in one of my Garden Junk forum inspiration albums? They would love to see it I'm sure.

That buffet stores all my Christmas serveware, Leveta, and the front has a rooster on it that doesn't "jump" out at you. Two houses ago we had a French country dining room and it was there. Miraculously it fit into the family room of our last house and the kitchen here.

We did homeschool our son pdg777 in middle school, as we had no good options here in our small town. That child (our last) went off to boarding school in 9th grade and is now a junior in hs. We actually didn't use the blackboard for school, though. I bought it from Ballard Designs in 1994 for our kitchen, where I would keep the upcoming three or four dinner menus on it.... so tired of being asked "what are we having for dinner"!

Kswl, we're so glad you joined us and brought your wonderful photos! Your home looks warm and welcoming. I love the icy branches/pine cone centerpiece on your table.

Love your tree. Love the mittens, never saw that and it is so cute. The santa mail box is fun also. I will just say that I love everything. Beautiful decorations.

I like the carolers, been looking for a grouping. I also love the wreath on the interior glass door. I have a couple of those doors. How do you attach a wreath? My grids are pretty narrow and flat.

We have a couple of sets of interior french doors and hang small wreaths by suction cup holders. They only last a year or so, as the vinyl does not hug the window well after it has been subjected to temperature extremes or as it ages. The link will take you to similar hooks, but I buy the el cheapo ones at Wal-Mart. It you arrange the ribbon just so they are not visible anyway.

Dreamgoddess, I didn't see your question earlier. I didn't make the icy arrangement. I just love it and it is perfect for a screened porch in winter. Also on that same porch I lay a lighted wreath in one of the rocking chairs instead of hanging it, and have a small woodland Father Christmas that goes on the table between the two rockers.

Noooooo, pattycakes, these are photos from 2007.... I haven't even STARTED on this year's decorations, and have my house on a tour of homes Dec. 15. Trying to get some ideas here to liven things up a bit and not continue to put the same decorations in the same place all the time. I am in a bit of a rut and need some new ideas. That's why I am enjoying all your beautiful trees and other decorations. The photos are so helpful!

Luvs...Just checked out the insprational album again. I see something new everytime I go to it. Everything is so beautiful. Thanks for the inspiration to get my decorations out and up. That is something I plan to do this weekend.

I'm not even halfway through the inspirational album and want to change everything I have.... some of the colours used in those trees are just delicious! I love the bare branch trees, the small trees around the base of the large one, the square wreath, everything :) Thanks for the link to that album, luv, and thank you Karen for putting it together!

Welcome kswl, so glad you're here. You did a wonderful job decorating ALL over your home. Everything is just beautiful. Love your grand tree and all the different decorations. I like the bows, the Santa Mailbox, and the mittens..Actually the 'whole tree' is beautiful..Lots of things to look at. I agree w/others about the 'icy' arrangement on your porch, very pretty. Hope to see more, when you finish this years'..lol

Luvs, I was looking at the album you posted, and was wondaring if you could tell me or if you knew someone that could tell me how they did the picture frame with all the ornies on it? that is the coolest thing! I have alot of old ornies that I would like to do a frame like that for my sons. I think they would like that, especially with old ornies of theirs that they had when they were kids. tfs, Janie

karen, my potting bench looks right at home in the Garden Junk Wood album; it came from Texas where it was made of old barn wood, so it is definitely Garden, Junk, and Wood!

Janied, I'll have to go back to Karen's album and look for the frame you mentioned. If Karen can't refer us to the person who made it for instructions, we can all try to figure it out for you. Unfortunately most of those photos I find to put in the albums for us don't have any information at all with them.
I imagine anyone who's made an ornament wreath would know how to do this. I'm guessing hot glue gun, but there's always fishing line to use too. LOL. Sometimes I don't trust glue. I want to make one of those ornament trees using the styrofoam cone, so I better learn to hot glue!

Honeysuckleridge over on the Crafts forum makes and sells ornament wreaths. She says she uses low temp glue gun and Alene's glue (gold bottle) and wire if she needs to. You can see her post and a link to her album if you go over to crafts and click on "Blue ornament wreath", it's on the first page. Oddie has made a few also and both of them will be happy to help with any questions on how they did them.
