I hope you don't mind but I do have another question about those type of programs. I have never used Quick Time or itunes, they were on my computer when I had it built. My question is what are the purpose of these programs and what are they used for? Please give me an example. I was use to Media Player because of my music and I learned how to put some music into the Media Player. Click on tools/preferences/Interface. Down near the bottom right of that window is a bar that says "Set Up Associations", open that window and put a check mark on the wav association. Version 2.0.0 works fine on my computer running Windows 7, but it should work with XP also. Hope this helps.

You can select which file types are to be associated with which player. Just de select all the file types associated with WMP that you don't want it to handle. Tools/Options/File Types Your current player should continue to handle the file types previously assigned.
