So sorry to hear about your absessed tooth but hope you will soon feel great again. Be sure and tell DS we appreciate all he is doing for us. I'll say a prayer for you and him.

I have only had one tooth absess in my life and I don't ever want to have another. Mine was on a weekend when my dentist was gone skiing and no relief until Monday. If I remember right I told him he needed to do something now before I hurt someone bad! He told me theres no relief unless you take antibiotics. I have been fighting periodontal diease for a few years and I know it's not fun either.

Hope you enjoy your tour at Historic St. Charles and will tell us about it when you return.

Gosh Lynn, so sorry you have had such a rough time. Yes, I agree with all you said about modern dentistry--such a blessing.

I'm sure basic training seemed like a long time for your son, but for me, it seemed like he just got there! I agree with all the other's said about appreciating his willingness to serve and protect all of us.

I've heard that St. Charles is a lovely place. Can't wait to hear about your visit there.

Do take care, and I'll certainly pray that you remain pain free all during your trip. ;o)

And hurt so badly I didn't think I would live through it. So, you poor baby, I feel for you. I prayed before I started typing.

Why is it you always have tooth problems when you can't get to a dentist? I've never had a toothache during the week. Always started on a Friday night!

I know you are excited about seeing your Baby...I mean fine young MAN graduate.

Ours left Sept 22nd for Parris Island, SC (Marines) and we won't see him graduate until Dec 12th. Seems like forever.

Please give him a BIG hug for us and let him know that we are proud and thankful. You only hear the bad stuff on the news these days. The news media is so slanted the wrong way that they never give our men and women who keep us safe the credit and attention they deserve. What sacrifices they make for us.

Does your DS know where he will go from here?

I hope you have a safe trip and manage to get a little shopping time in, and we will be looking for pics!

Thanks for all your kind wishes and prayers. They worked!!My root canal, thankfully, behaved itself while we were in Missouri. It was wonderful to see our DS again as he graduated from Basic at Ft. Leonard Wood. We actually got half of Wednesday and most of Thursday with him. The foliage was drop-dead gorgeous, despite the gray skies for the entire three days we were there. And what can I say about the beef you all have in the Midwest, other than it is soooooo much better than ours. I ate steak and burgers every chance I got while we were there. I've had a chance to post a bit on other threads here today, but need to get back to rooting for our Oklahoma Sooners on tv now. My family is shouting for me.
I'll be back soon to look at more of your projects and post a couple pics. Thanks again for everything.

So happy to hear that you were able to spend time with your DS after his graduation. You must be so proud of him.
We are all proud of him too, and appreciate all he's doing for his country.

I'm glad your tooth pain calmed down. Lucky it happend before you went away and not while you were there.
Just think of all that wonderful 'Beef' you would have missed having!! lol
