Ductless hood?

We're planning to get a Miele combiset 12" gas burner plus a Miele combiset 12" gas wok. We live in a small condo and cannnot duct outside. What ductless / recirculating hood would you recommend? I know it's not ideal, but I need something, and preferrably under $1500. I think a 30" hood should do? Or do I need to go wider?

You're not getting much response because people on this forum are not big fans of ductless hoods - especially with a wok burner. I believe that Vent-a-Hood makes an expensive one that they claim is quite effective but I haven't seen any reviews on it. Personally I wouldn't spend a lot of money on a ductless hood.

I've sold one Vent-A-Hood duct free ARS hood. Both my customer and my installer rave about it. No reviews other than that. The key to it is that it has a true HEPA filter to capture odor and smoke. It also has charcoal pellet-filled filters and the Magic Lung system to collect grease. There is nothing else as effective on the market - yet.

Believe me I would like something vented, but because of major renovations to the house years ago and how they had to run paralambs, it would be more trouble then it's worth. Anyone have info that I requested - please reply.

Perhaps it is not clear from the implied functionality of a recirculating hood, but the VaH ARS captures and contains cooking plumes, passes them through filtration (which takes space) and then 'rejects' the filtered air back into the room. Images of cabinet-less ARS show vents at the top of the short "chimney." If this part is covered by a cabinet, then (low restriction) vents are needed on the cabinet face, sides (if exposed), or top. I would hope that someone willing to pay for an ARS would consider it due diligence to read the thread that provides the most information we have here about this system.

Hoods such as the VaH ARS that have significant filter packs and adequate blower performance can reduce odor and grease. We have a long running ARS thread here. https://www.houzz.com/discussions/2347276/vent-a-hood-ductless-ars-range-hood-update#n=65 Broan may also make an adequate assembly, but we haven't seen any review. More modest designs will be much more modest in filtering performance.

It's going to be a big safety and health hazard to use a wok burner some place you can't have ventilation. There isn't a ductless fan built that could handle that. Ductless won't really deal well with induction cooking byproducts either, but you can at least modulate your burners a bit easier and open a window. Your wok will quickly overpower anyone with heat and fumes after just a few seconds of putting those whole chiles in.
