installing a one piece bath tub

i need to level a one piece bathtub ,because concrete floor is not. if you try to shim the intragrated blocks on the under side it is very difficult, but not impossible, because of the intragrated front skirt. Once you have it level, the instuction say to lift up the tub and pour a bed motar, cover it with a scheet of plastic, then set the tub on to it. the blocks do not touch the mortar, but will remain in contact with the shims and concrete floor. thats my question, how will they remain underneath the blocks. do you think for simplicity, should i use a leveling compound to make the floor, instead of trying to shim the blocks. will the compound stand up to time. thanks sm
