Suggestions for 42 or 48 inch frig
Comments (13)I had one service call on my previous Kitchenaid 42" BI which was handled courteously, promptly, and efficiently. That service was for a leveling issue which was affecting the door seal, an issue related to installation error and not the refrigerator itself. We lived in that house for 4.5 years and had no other issues with the KA. When we built our new house, I looked at SZ as well as KA and would have gone with the KA for cost reasons but was then offered the SZ floor model at a significant discount. I do think the SZ is a more solidly-built refrigerator and yes, it really does keep more even temps in both the refrigerator and freezer. It also keeps my produce fresh for a noticeably longer amount of time. I wasn't expecting that - thought it was all hype - but it turned out to be a valid claim. However, they are certainly much more expensive unless you find a deal on a floor model....See More48 inch or 36 inch gas range
Comments (5)It's not too big for any kitchen if it's what you want. If you'll use it all, often, and cook your hearts out, it's worth it. If you have no other use for 12" of cabinet space and wouldn't otherwise have a second oven, it might be worth it too. There was a picture floating around here about four years ago of a tiny kitchen, smaller than many closets, in an NYC apartment. It was basically a fridge, a sink, and a massive range. I think it was a 36" professional range, so deeper than normal. There was also a picture of an NYC apartment where the kitchen was basically a wet bar with an induction hot plate built into a drawer. It just depends on how much room you think you need for the actual business of cooking....See More54" double vanity or 48" single vanity
Comments (6)We are redoing our bathrooms and plan on putting double sinks in the 72 inch vanity (master bath) and a single sink in the 48 inch vanity (hall bath). I agree that you will want the counter space more than an extra sink. Even in our 72 inch vanity our contractor suggested we do not install rectangular sinks and use oval because of the extra couple of inches....See More48 inch dual fuel range advice: monogram vs wolf vs thermador?
Comments (12)We purchased a Thermador 48” Dual Fuel range with 6 burners and an induction unit and double oven. Model PRD486WIGU. originally wanted a Wolf, but was told it was going to be about 9 to 12 months. Contractor suggested Airport Appliance who said they could get Thermador in 4 months which at the time would accomodate our remodel schedule. Turned out Thermador took 9 to 12 months, depending on the appliance, to deliver all appliances. Rude Thermador Customer service, hours wait to talk to someone, required 100% payment upon order. had our $25,000 whole time. Airport Appliance not much better. Lied about delivery times and deposit amount. Have had 3 service calls on range in first 6 months with burner issues. In my previous home we had a 48” Thermador cook top which we were pleased with which also influenced our decision to go with Thermador again, but never again! I dont recommend Airport Appliance either. Good luck however you decide....See Moresawmill
