I don't think it's that the OP has never seen chrome fixtures, but on this forum we see so many other choices that chrome seems to have gone by the wayside. I'm back and forth between ORB and chrome, too. I love the richness, warmth, and the fact that it looks old of the ORB. I love the price and timelessness (is that a word?) of chrome. It's nice to see chrome used in bathrooms like annkathryn's and dmlove's and it shows it is possible to have a very rich and warm looking room and still not break the bank on fixtures. It's also nice to see the neutral chrome mixed with other metals. I'd actually like to see more photos of bathrooms that use mixed metals.

I think it is fine to mix between finish of faucet and knobs/pulls, generally speaking. I think the finish of the faucet should relate more to your countertop and any backsplash directly behind. The finish of your pulls should relate primarily to your cabinet doors and other door handle finishes or light fixtures in the house. If your faucet and cabinet knobs/pulls are very close together and completely opposite, that could be a distraction. But for example dian57's kitchen above, I think all the finishes go pretty well, partly because she has a lot of neutrals so there is not a lot of "competition" in the room.

erikanh, all the simplice faucets I've seen except the one in the photo have a separate handle (two hole installation) and I would prefer one like in the photo (one hole installation) but have not been able to find it except for in that photo! I am equally interested in the delta allora but am still hoping to see some in peoples' kitchens....thanks to others here, I've seen lots of simplice although again, only ones with the separate handle. So, I'm looking for photos of kitchens that have the allora installed and any info or pics on that particular simplice. I hope I've clarified.

My prep sink is 18" and I have a regular kitchen faucet. I looked at bar faucets but they were too small. The faucet size really depends on the size of your sink. This is mine. It is a Waterstone Hampton kitchen faucet.
