Jane, thank you! I'm so excited.. I really am! We have lived here for almost 20 years, and areas do have a few old, historic houses, but usually not in a good neighborhood. I KNOW our Realtors and the home inspectors think we are a little crazy because of the work that needs to be done, but I look forward to it! Thanks everyone else! Emily, building can really sometimes suck the life out of you! I've done it so many times.. I MUST be crazy! Even this will be a challenge!

Sorry, time out for a new baby...I'm finally catching up now!!! Sandi, the cushions will be black and white check on one side and yellow and white check on the other, with the yellow/cherry print for the ties and cording! Kathleen be sure you DO tell your sister, and give her my email address! We would love to meet her and make her feel like a welcome Texan!! DH and I go to Arlington fairly often, and maybe she would like to venture down here...we are only about 100 miles south and right on an interstate that she can easily reach! As to the camera...I think I have a solution, but somebody is going to have to help me! DS told me that I can have my 35MM pictures printed to disc and then I should be able to load them some sort of way so that they can be posted. He is going to help me as soon as he has time!

Hey! I'm back! We had a very relaxing time and I'm totally recharged. The kids got to swim until they shriveled up into raisens and we went to a few museums and movies (and 1 TS I couldn't pass up! ha). It was nice not to have to rush to anything and no cooking and cleaning for a few days. ha I'm glad we went. Gotta get back into my groove now and glad to be back home! :) ~Anj

We have exactly the same situation. As originally planned, the fridge would not be "enclosed." However, we will be buying a new SS FD model when we move in. Most SS fridges sold these days do not have SS on sides. We think most of them look really cheesy and would not want a plasticky side showing. While you can still get a fridge with real SS sides, we did not want to be limited to the few models that still offer that. The door to our screened porch will open toward the refrigerator. We think it will look much more finished if it opens next to a panel rather than next to the fridge. We also like the idea of a deep cabinet above the fridge. For all of these reasons, we have decided to go with panels on the sides of the fridge. The custom cabinet maker we now working with builds their cabinets so the opening is 37" instead of 36," which I really like. I think 36" is too tight for most of the FD fridges, which all seem to be 35 plus inches wide.
