Electrolux CD Wave Touch French Door Refrigerator
Comments (1)Hmmm, we bought a standard depth Wave touch, but don't have it yet. They had an IQ touch French door, I think standard depth, on the floor at the store and the shelves did not slide out, so I am wondering if they do in the Wave touch! The side by side IQ touch shelves did slide out....See MoreJenn-Air French Door v. SubZero French door refrigerator
Comments (9)Thanks for your input. A fully integrated refrigerator allows the doors of the refrigerator to be completely flush with the cabinets next to it. The hinges allow the door to fold into the cabinet, rather than outside it. A counter depth refrigerator will stick out a couple of inches, and even if panel ready, will still show an inch or 2 of the sides of the refrigerator. I've even been told counter depth panel ready will show a bit of metal on the front door. It has to do with the door hinges. I didn't think there was a difference between built-in and fully integrated, but I could be wrong. My issue with SZ is the lack of split shelves, which we occasionally use to stand taller items like opened wine bottles or pots of soup. We are a family of four, with 2 boys 10,12 who are definitely hitting growth spurts! The SZ FD also only comes in 36" vs JAN 42", so there is smaller capacity. I'm wondering if we shouldn't just go with panel ready counter depth so we have more brand options and see if we can customize the cabinets to hide the sides. Any thoughts , has anyone done? _______________________________...See MoreReliability of Electrolux French Door Refrigerator EI23BC82SS?

Comments (21)Thanks guys. Yes, the counter depth would push it back further (its a very tight corner), but based on my measurements, the wall cavity on the left would only extend 3 inches past the front of the refrigerator. Therefore, when the door swings open, the handle would swing past the edge of that wall. The handle would never touch the wall. And then there would be a 3" gap on the left side of the refrigerator as well to allow that hinge clearance. Just like the attached photo below, EXCEPT I would gain a 3" gap between the refrigerator and the left all - to allow that door to swing open. Does that make sense? Again, so grateful for all the help and insight. You guys rock....See Morekashmi
