Updating bathroom closet with sliding wooden doors

Scott A

So I've got an old bathroom closet with two wooden sliding doors starting at about waist level up on wooden tracks. They have no wheels so it's just wood against wood. The doors slide okay for the most part, but sometimes they'll go askew and require some work to get flush with the tracks. They're also slightly warped, so they rub against each other. This will be a problem when I repaint them. What suggestions do you have to renovate this? I was considering putting them on hinges and removing the tracks entirely but they'd open right into the bathroom door. What other options do I have? Metal tracks with wheels? Everything is built-in so there is currently no way to remove the doors from the tracks without removing some of the molding.
