I cannot tell you what to do, but the off center location of the light fixture needs to be changed. Am I understanding that you intend to remove them and put something on the mirror itself?

One of your tall cabs has molding at the top. The other one does not. Can you add the molding to the cab?

And, you have the light above one sink but nothing above the second sink, and then you have the vanity area with the light above it. I would try to make the sink/mirror/lights exactly alike, and maybe have a different light down lower for the low vanity area. Make it more usable for make up and grooming, a smaller mirror with magnification on one side. That area needs some weight and presence.

BTW, is there a THIRD cab sitting on the counter or at the end of the counter top? If so, does IT have the molding at the top?

With the molding, you could also put an up light or wall wash light which would serve to give a taller look to the bath, and make it really emphasize the height of the ceiling and the angles too. I'd do that instead of thinking a potted plant, which would at best be short lived.

Just my two cents. Mirrors the height (or generally so) of the tall cabs would be totally high enough.

Yes I was going to remove the light fixtures and put them back after the mirror was installed.

The cabinet on the counter will have molding at the top and a cabinet door on the bottom half. It is not finished yet.

I wanted to change the configuration of the vanity light on my side, but that is not going to happen. The electrician just put the lights in the center of each wall. I was going to try to use a vanity light with maybe 4 or 5 lights on my side, but that didn't work out either.

I could make the mirror go up to the light and stop, but I just like the taller mirrors I have seen in some homes.

I like the idea of putting an up light on the cabinet, I hadn't thought of that.

BTW there are only 2 cabinets in the room.
