What's on the floors and walls where the two meet? We have tile on the floor of the new master bath and tile on the bottom half of the wall. We used no baseboard. In the older bathroom there is tile on the floor and sheetrock on the walls...wood baseboard like the rest of the house. If you prefer the look of wood but the worry/hassle free tile, you could use a wood-look tile baseboard. I like the clean look of our master bath where the tile floor and tile wall meet (with no baseboard).

If the floor is stained concrete and the walls are sheetrock, tile as a baseboard seems out of place. I'd go with wood in that situation.

(Unless of course, there's a drop-dead tile that ties in an accent tile used elsewhere in the room -- But I have to confess, I'm addicted to tile...)

I'd keep the flow with the rest of the house. My guess is that it's wood.
