I'm sort of doing both too. But our bath redo is at a stand still, so I just put these up temporarily. Please ignore the walls, which will come down when the project is restarted. First, the train rack which stores and provides a towel bar as well. It will have the blocking to support it placed behind the new walls. The towel ring as shown was the one we used before, the old one, and I might find a place to put it but who knows. And here is my favorite hook of all time, which I purchased from Lee Valley Tools. It can go behind a door and it folds up. It is also a very nautical design, since boats are always short on space. It makes a good mudroom rack where you can hang a hat on top, and then spread out the other hooks for your gloves and jackets. And then this one, on clearance at Pottery Barn and sold as a bathroom magazine rack, but it is a fantastic towel bar/rack too. Not bad on the price either, if it is still available. I'm using it now beside my sink in the bath undergoing redo.

These are both Ginger Sheffield Toilet Tissue holders. I'm using the first one for the vanity. I think either of these, or any other open ended tissue holder would work very well for you. I liked the idea of it being open ended and just didn't want a standard towel ring. Something to watch out for, though. I found that some of the towel bars, tissue holders, etc stick out very far from the wall. I wanted to avoid something sticking out too far, so I made sure to check out all the measurments before deciding. The room's not done, but I really like the towel holder.

I think it's called sine. Our sales guy really pushed us to go with certain things (like the Cifial faucet)--good quality at good price points, at least when compared to some of the other stuff we liked! We really didn't "have a choice." He said get this, so we did. LOL He's not an advocate of spending more than needed for a guest bath (get the spendier/fancier things for "the baths where you begin and end your day" he's fond of saying), but would steer us away from something if he felt it was garbage or just not worth the $.

Generally speaking, I don't think hardware should be a resale issue unless it's a whole house full of something extremely dated, worn out, or highly stylized or personal. Even then, any buyer who can pick up a screw driver should know that most hardware is easily replaced with their own choice and one of the easiest and fastest ways to make a place their own. I wouldn't worry about it at all unless this is being fixed up specifically for sale. In that case, less might be more (the train rack gives you a towel bar and leave it at that). People can always add hardware of their chosing. Stay with a basic style they can add to (train racks generally are). Would the hooks, if you use them, be in a regular wall? If so, they are easy to replace, especially if you keep a small container of touch-up paint marked for the room it goes with. If you are drilling holes in tile or something, then replacement is more of an issue, but as long as towels can be hung and have enough room that they dry properly, I don't see an issue for most folks. If this is for space considerations only, make sure that hooks large enough to hold and dry towels well don't stick out more than a towel bar. And if they are for your use, get what you want.
