3 Tier Metal Stand w/ more pumpkins

I bought this cream colored metal stand several years ago at one of those shops in an old house where each dealer has a different room in the house.

I'm a total sucker for anything with tiers or levels or compotes!!

The stand collapses flat for storage, like I'd ever put anything away, LOL. The 3 graduated size trays swivel flat and each has a small button that turns over its edge and keeps it level for use. There is a u-shaped bracket on the back that pulls out and acts like an easel stand to hold it up.

The items are a pumpkin tealightholder from GW with the Ross price tag still on it, a pumpkin tureen I found at ARC last year, and a fall basket from another TS a few yrs ago. The metal leaf decor thingy on the side is another treasure shopping find.

The stand is about 30" tall when in use. I can also set it on a table to use if I'm serving a buffet style dinner or appetizers.

That is a neat stand. I especially like the fact that you can easily store it when you want to change the look.

As are we all, Candy, it was the tiered plates that got some of us hooked on this forum I believe. Now you will have us all looking for tierd stands. Your's looks pretty tall, is it? Love all the flowers and bunny stuff. I especially love your pitchers, I have a "thing" about pitchers anyway, but add bunnies and I love them. Hi, Thanks everybody! Ironically. the curio cabinet is one I bought for my oldest daughter to display her Precious Moments collection. Her decor changed once she got married and had a family and she gave it back to me. I change the decor for the seasons, and really enjoy having it. NanaKaren, I use TS for any thrift store as I go to GoodWill, ARC, Salvation Army, Family Thrift, and a local one called Unique. It is just my generic term for any thrift store. The best price I could find for mine is $205, with $3.95 shipping at YHS, so it is not crazy over budget. If this is a permanent choice, I'd try to make it the best I could. I know $100 seems like a lot (am strapped right now too), but it is one fixture and you should have it for many years. I look back at some of my choices and wish I had a re-do button. If we had to do it again, I'd definitely choose our fans. We started using 1 before the reno in our master and it still looks the same as the new ones. We get actual compliments, which as you can see by this thread, is a big deal since ceiling fans are not very "in" right now. I happen to love a well designed one and yet am not thrilled with the cheap looking ones. I think this one looks upscale without breaking the bank. "Strips are added to air handlers, not coils." That's what I meant, my bad. "The heat pump is still 300% efficient at 35F ambient, and 400% efficient at 50F. Air handler temps are in the mid/upper 90's at these ambient temps." No, mine is not. Air temp measured at registers when temp is below 40F outside is mid to high 80's at best. House takes hours to maybe make it to 72F. I am OK with it, but wife wants it warmer when she wakes up. I may have undersized my HP at 3ton, prolly should have gone with 4ton, but calcs all said 3ton. Air handler is variable but even if I force to highest speed, the coil isnt hot enough to transfer. If I slow it down, temp at registers gets up to 90F but not enough air to make up for heat loss. Why is it hard to add strips to air handler? Is it more cost effective to replace air handler to get electric strips in there? Ideally, I would have the system change thru various heat sources based on indoor T-stat. If 1st stage (HP only) cant get it up to temp within 20mins, say, then it activates heat strips? Then if temp outside falls below 35F, HP and strips are shut off and gas furnace is used? That would be ideal. Gas furnace at stage 1 (about 48k) heats entire house in 10 mins or less no matter what outside temp, btw. propane is really expensive out here and getting more so, plus the delivery trucks are huge and oftentimes damage the road, so I would prefer as few fill-ups as possible. Candy, love your metal stand and everything on it. The pumpkin tureen was a beautiful find last year and it looks right at home on your stand this year. What are the red leaves on the right side made of? They sure look neat on this.

The white metal thingy looks like a wedding column for flowers or a plant. Was it already painted like this or did you add your painting touch to it? You are a very busy lady and I sure enjoy seeing all you do. This reminds me I still haven't gotten all my pictures downloaded but still have almost 2 months to accomplish that task.

I move the stand around and have used it for buffets, but I never actually put it away. I just change the decor.

The red leaves are the metal thingy. They are metal, painted with an enamel paint, and the metal wire they are on is about the same weight as a wire coathanger, The metal is fairly lightweight, I have to avoid bending it unintentionally.

The white column in the background came that way, it is a plaster type of material, about 36" tall, and is holding a live spider plant.

A beautiful pc to work with, Candy...can see why you don't put it away...quite versatile for decorating! I also like the metal leaves thing-y that you added on the side. I like tiered stands too, and this one makes a perfect place to display your pretty pumpkins for fall. I would not have guessed that the leaves were metal--they are very pretty and easier to shape that way too! So fun to see all your nice fall decor. Luvs

Layers or tiers of anything is always better when is comes to decorating in my book. This display turned out great. You are lucky to have an ARC near by. My DS shops there all the time in Chicago.

That was one great find, Candy . . . but I've come to realize that you seem to be a magnet for great finds. I love the versatility of that stand and being able to use it for a buffet with food makes it even more appealing.
