Hi Sandi, Sometimes, I feel a little discouraged that I can't just buy what I want when I want it--but then again, it is so great to find a bargain price when things go on sale, isn't it? Besides there's always the thrill of the hunt! Ha ha My concern now is that I am not buying too many things that I can only use once a year. I think I will try to keep the seasonal things to under $5.00 each for the most part. I think I have pretty much done that with everything except that large cabbage leaf plate-it was $9.99--but I rationalized that I needed a bigger one so I could put a dinner plate in front if I wanted to. Really would have loved to have four of them to use on the table--maybe I'll find them on sale for less sometime. Oh, I just fibbed. The new bunnies I bought yesterday were more than $5.00 too. I will probably use them year round though--I love bunnies and display some in my house already. I ran over to Walmart real quick today. Looked at the green clear glass plates to see if they might work for St. Pat's in case I decide to decorate the table. Actually saw some other plates that were a darker green that I liked better. Didn't see any colored glasses tho. I also looked to see what they had in white plates. Good prices, but I still want to look a bit more before I decide on those. They had two patterns that you could buy individual items instead of having to buy the whole set. If I can find an inexpensive set I like, I might be able to get some ivory ones too. So far, I still like the red plates you found at Target the best--can't believe I need plates in so many colors now! LOL Just have to take it one thing at a time and not get frustrated. It is lots more fun to buy patterned holiday plates than plain ones, isn't it? ;o) $5.00 each for those chargers doesn't sound too bad to me right now--the goldish ones at Walmart were more than that, and their woven ones weren't as inexpensive as I had expected either. Hope that little shop still has them and you can get them for just a couple bucks each. ;o) Good luck. Luvs

Wishing you the happiness of a leprechaun's gold, and a day of songs and love that will never grow old! Happy (belated) St. Patrick's Day! :) Since I am new to this place, I got a bit delayed in wishing you all. So, how do you generally celebrate St.Patrick's day at home? In our home,we just started celebrating it last year after my son pestered us about it. I was searching online for things to do this St.Patrick's Day and came across this list of easy and fun to do St.Patrick's Day activities. We did the 'shamrock hearts' activity with my son who simply loved it! Maybe you could try out some of these next year... Cheers! Here is a link that might be useful: St. Patrick's Day Activities

Congratulations Carol. I still needed 3 words for bingo. I have roses, salvia, wild violets and a few late planted daffodils blooming. Not even any buds on my iris or daylilies yet. I do think I saw some buds on one of my clematis. Thank you for hosting a fun month.

“I still do it because it makes me happy” Yes!! I so identify. And I have come to understsnd that hosting isn’t for everyone. Some are just over cooking while others are made nervous the very thought. I do totally get that . i keep inviting my desrest friends , and it bothers me not that there’s little to no reciprecating from some. . I appreciate their wanting to come to my house. It gives me joy to gather friends at home.
