Surprise. I didn't know pdf's could be viewed and printed using just FF. Thanks for the info Mikie. I subscribe to an online publication that updates weekly in pdf. I disabled PDF Viewer and gave it a test. Had no problem reading and printing info using just the FF viewer. As I'm sure others have found, it's worthwhile to read the threads even if they don't seem relevant to our situation. There's always something to be learned that we didn't even think to ask about.

Re: an adobe MCM, I've seen some modern homes with the large expanses of glass that an MCM would have. But I'm sure the cooling bills are astronomical. The thick adobe with smaller windows makes much more sense for passive heating and cooling. And then in good weather, live outside. Heck, I just want a home to have character. MCM, adobe, storybook: it's all good. But I find a lot of the newer construction in NM -- other than upper-bracket architect-designed homes -- is really just the same tract home from Kansas or Alabama with a few southwestern-y touches cobbled on. I do NOT want one of those. I think that's why this older adobe speaks to me.

I have 4.0, and the process is probably similar. Are you having trouble sizing the text itself? Once you have the text in the picture, you can drag it to size, just select the text box and you'll see an area at the corners that you can drag. You can also set the font size directly in the text tool box.
