Really pretty, As always, your photography is great, and I don't think it's blurry at all. I just love fall colors. Your whole look with the deep rich colors and the candle light looks so cozy and really elegant too. Love the pears.

I'm making myself wait another couple of weeks before I start decorating for fall.

I have been in search of some orange plates. I saw some at a Home Goods in CT last spring, and have been kicking myself for not buying them.

Beautiful! I love fall, but am trying to hold on to summer, if that makes any sense :) The pumkpin soup bowls are adorable. The rich gold and reds are the perfect nod to fall decorating. Hope you had a grand time!

I love all the rich colors you chose DD. Everything looks so warm and inviting. Your family must have been surprised by an 'Early Fall' dinner. I like your idea using the faux pears for your place cards. I also like how you put your centerpiece together. You always have such creative ideas.
Our weather has been getting chilly again, and some leaves are starting to come down, a little at a time. Seeing your beautiful table, inspires me to get my Fall things out.

DD, that looks really nice. I'm with the other's who said it takes some talent to put something that pretty together quickly. Can't go wrong with candlelight, and those orange pumpkin bowls are always a winner. The menu sounds yummy too.

I'm with Gail--holding off for a couple more weeks on the Fall decorating. For one thing, we are having a neighborhood yard sale and I don't want my wooden signs and things out on the patio and gates until after that.

I keep meaning to get by your blog more often, I have it in my favorites. I'll have to head over there to see if I've missed any pretties.

Thanks Gail! I know that feeling of regretting not buying the pretties you see at HomeGoods (HomeSense for me)! I am always doing that. We don't have that store locally so it is always when I'm out of town on a shopping trip that I go there and get so overwhelmed wanting EVERYTHING and trying to "budget" my spending money, that I have to pass some things up and then regret it when I get home.

Thanks Magpie! I like to be able to "throw together" a table without much notice as with DH's job, we end up doing a lot of our entertaining on the spur of the moment. My favourite though is when I do have ALL DAY to PLAY!

Karen, thank you! This summer has been very nice for us too and seems to be lasting into the fall. We did appreciate the rain last weekend especially with all the forest fires around the province.

Luvs, thanks! I guess we feel more "fall-ish" here sooner than you do not just for the weather but our Thanksgiving is the 2nd Monday of October. That makes me think I have to get the fall decor up in time to enjoy it awhile plus I will be decorating for Christmas in early to mid November as we have decided to host our Christmas Wine Tasting Event again this year. All the stores have fall things now. I love the colors. It's my favorite season. Don't really have a fall here in Southern California, but I was raised in an area that had real seasons. Fall is the most beautiful, I think. Your table reflects that.

I've never done any kind of table settings like most of you have, and I do have enough fall things to do one. I think yours is beautiful!!! I don't see where they are blurried at all, and I love the colors.

Donnas, most of us had never put much thought into doing our table settings either--until we came here! Now just setting the plates and silverware on there just won't do--we have to pretty it up a bit more! LOL

Pull out some of your pretties and give it a try--or just do some arrangements on your coffee table or kitchen counter--amazing how it adds to the decor and to your "fun". Be sure to share pics with us too, okay?
