I was concerned that I was being attracted by the form of the triple hook, and that its function didn't truly match up to the form...but now you tell me that it's strong enough for all those towels on its own--that's GREAT! I'm so thrilled to hear it. I've been holding off on ordering. I'm guessing now that those single hooks you've been waiting for will definitely be enough to hold the towels individually, since they're bigger, yes? And I also wanted to say that that picture, although I know you took it just to show the towels hanging, *really* shows off that fabulous tile and the emperador dark surfaces together in a brilliant way. Sometimes the least formal pics can be the most illustrative, and this is certainly one of those times. Folkman, Thanks for your response. You answered the wall paint color question I had. I did find where you mentioned the tumbled marble had 00412 on the boxes and you also mentioned Antique Gold. Someone else mentioned color names noche and chiaro. I will check at HD using those names. The only other name I will wait for is the floor tile name and color. I have looked at several of the HD porcelain tiles and like them all. Some even look like marble. I just love the entire look of your bath. Did you ever take some final pictures that show your shower door and your sink faucet? Would love to see the final look. Thanks for posting your work. Flyleft--Years ago I had a wonderful brownstone which we rehabbed. My first experience. We had a good architect who planned the whole thing and I didn't ask too many questions. I basically picked the bathtub I wanted, with a skylight over it hehehe, and focused on the kitchen. When the bathroom vanity went in the sinks were so small I spent the next 8 years hating those sinks. Also, they were low and undermounted. Since then I have a special bug about bathroom sinks -- they need to be big enough and high enough to be comfortable. I was very careful when we did our reno this last time. For me, the important part is the bowl size, followed by the deck. You'll laugh but when I googled your sink I went right to the dimensions. They are generous, the bowl is deep enough. I really do like vessel sinks. They are beautiful if they are large enough and work with the faucet well. Even the slab one could be a good idea for a his and her in a very modern bath. But whoever is designing this stuff needs to know what they are doing, which isn't always the case. And sometimes things are styled for magazines and not really functional -- then people fall in love with the look and actually install it. Oy.

We used two of the lights - one over each sink. We did another bathroom in that house (we've since moved) - that bathroom was 5'x8', and we used one of the Artemide lights. It was plenty bright enough in there! We had the lights on a dimmer, which was really nice. Yes, our contractor built out a soffit above the medicine cabinets. It wasn't my first choice for how to do it, but it ended up looking really good. I wanted to recess the cabinets, but the Ikea ones are not made to do that, and the finish details were too complicated to make it work. So we decided on the soffit, which was much simpler. I wouldn't hesitate to do it the same way again.
