Air Purifier Recommendations Needed Please?
Comments (1)Electric or electrostatic metal plate type air cleaners are good for removing small amounts of soot particles, carbon dust, etc., from the air. Cleaning them weekly is very time consuming and they don't catch soil dust or stuff like drywall dust very well unless there is a very good primary dust filter in front of the the high voltage collector plates which is rare. . If you have hot air type heating, some of the large amount of blown around earth dust can be trapped with a 3M Filtrete static or similar type filter on your furnace. They are expensive but are on sale quite a lot. The result isn't pretty, but in the case of a single room, a 3M filter can be cut in two and modified to work taped to a tower style fan inlet and this combo cleans the air quite well. A good vacuum cleaner with a HEPA filter will likely be needed too. This post was edited by laat2 on Thu, Sep 26, 13 at 19:37...See MoreMammoth Air 1000 UV Air Purifier

Comments (11)I have an earlier model of the one in the link below. Bought it in 2002, and just before they were discontinued I bought 6 filters. Since I am only on the second filter since this year, I am covered for a while, if the unit doesn't peter out on me. I got mine because of allergies. It lives in my bedroom. I only turn it on at night, and only during allergy seasons. Allergy seasons are twice a year for me. February because of cedar tree pollen and September till a killing frost because of ragweed. I have other allergies, but those two triggers are the WORST for me. Comments (3)I do believe Air Purifier is machine that must be in each house. Thank you for providing list of Air Purifiers. May I ask how good are the filters in these air purifiers and how often will they need to be changed? I read on the internet that sleeping with the air purifier is very beneficial. Sleep becomes healthier and more pleasant. That is why I had a desire to buy myself the same device for my home so that it would be more pleasant to exist in it. I've already found a service where there is a fairly large catalog of various air purifiers https://dehumidifiercritic.com/best-large-room-air-purifier/ . Not only do they just have a review for each product, but all the pros and cons of each product are also written there. In addition, I read that each purifier is tested for about 3 months before being reviewed. It sounds pretty cool doesn't it? Still I really want to know the answer to my question please....See Moresophie_blue
