I have done this in the past on siding and it worked very well, it's worth a try: Mix up a batch of warm water and white vinegar, the mix is 50/50 [On brick or stone, unpainted, I use the vinegar full strength]. Take an old rag and soak it in the water/vinegar solution. Lay it over the egg splatter and hold it in place with a 1x2 or pole for about 15 to 20 minutes. This will get the bulk of it off. Next you need some laundry detergent that contains a protein enzyme. Make sure it has this enzyme or it won't work. Mix the detergent with warm water to form a sticky paste, apply this paste to the remaining egg stain and all those other little splatter spots around and below it. Often their is a long streak running down the wall from the egg. As soon as the surface of the paste starts to dry, wash it off with a scrub brush and warm water.

You really don't want to stain your deck floor with a solid stain if you don't have to. It won't hold up because people walk on it. It is totally normal to strip your deck each time you stain it if you are using semi-transparent stain. If you stain over what is there, the problem is that you have weathered areas and areas that are not weathered and it will never look even staining over both. Semi transparent stain wants to penetrate the wood, but it can't do this when you have stain there already, so it pools and gets darker there while the areas where the stain penetrated will look lighter. But don't worry, stripping a weathered semi transparent stain isn't like stripping paint. It comes off pretty easily. Sometimes I can strip a deck with no stripper. I just use a power washer, but this will depend on the strength of your power washer. Stripping wood will darken it so you will need to use a brightener to restore the wood to its original color and balance the ph. Be sure to follow all instructions on cans of stripper and brightener.

I am the OP and I guess I was not clear in my posting. The deck is smooth and sanded and has stain on it-there are no fuzzies on it right now. I want to prevent what happened before-I cleaned the deck for prepping and it created loose wood fibers. Right now, it is smooth and perfect-I just don't want to mess it up by applying a wash to clean it and have to start all over again with the deck. I know that the wash I used before will do it to both the new and old wood that has been treated...I am looking for one that will not fuzz up the wood.

use dalys house cleaner and then hit it with dalys wood brightner. use a stiff deck brush if you use a pressure washer it needs to be at a low pressure of 600 to 800 psi.
