Cascade rinse aid product in Kitchen Aide Dishwasher ?
Comments (6)LemiShine is NOT rinse aid. It's a concentrated citric acid powder intended for cleaning calcium and hard water deposits from glassware and the dishwasher interior. As weissman says, all liquid rinse aids are pretty much the same, other than one may work better under whatever may be the specific water conditions at any particular location. Too high a dose of any rinse agent can cause excess foaming during the final rinse when it's dispensed. More likely, the film is due to the detergent your SIL is using, and/or too high or too low a dose of said detergent....See MoreHomemade 'Jet Dry'?
Comments (4)HI! I googled recipe+jet dry and got a few sites. Seems you can use white vinegar in there instead and it works just as well. I think I am going to try that too! We have hard water here and even jet dry doesn't do much. What can it hurt? I have heard to run vinegar through your washer empty too to clean it, so can't hurt....See MoreTell me about rinse aid for dishwashers
Comments (17)I think the dispenser just wasn't full, thanks morz8. What I had was a sample that came with the dishwasher, it held all of it but I didn't look to see where the full line was and I don't know how much was in that tiny bottle because I threw it away. I know it was pretty small though, maybe only 2 ounces. So I bought a large bottle and filled it up and YES I did over fill it because you cannot really tell when it's full and plus it's really hard to get it in that tiny little fill spot. Then I got out a funnel and that's when I over filled it. HA! I'm going to have to find a better container to put it in to dispense it properly. Maybe one of those hair color dispensers/applicators from Sally's with the pointed top....See MoreIs there a dishwasher now days that dries dishes without rinsing aid?
Comments (28)I have the Kenmore Elite equivalent of your dishwasher. I use the equivalent of Pro Dry and I don't have rinse aid in the dispenser right now and everything comes out dry, no moisture on the inside. My extended dry cycle is 1.5 hours long and the little fan runs for an additional hour after that. Use Pro Wash cycle and not Normal cycle. The extended dry and little fan is one of the reasons why I selected my KitchenAid produced Kenmore Elite. Do you not realize energy standards have rendered heating elements almost useless for drying now days vs. 15 years ago?...See MoreRelated Professionals
