My few patriotic items

Here are the only patriotic items that I have made. I just made the two signs, which will be garden stakes. I use these on my front patio along with a wreath and a foil banner from Dollar Tree. I have nothing for a tablesetting. Guess I'll have to work on that, won't I? Luvs

when a pod fully ripens, take a pic, and we'll be far more able to tell you what it is. it's unfortunate that you didn't get what you wanted to grow, but if the pods are tasty (and hot) it wasn't a total loss. write it off as a learning experience. it may well be a bhut hybrid, some of the pods look like they might have some bhut somewhere in their lineage, but they also look like there's some hab in there, but they're awful long and skinny for either of those varieties. I feel bad for your situation, so if you PM me your address I'll send you seeds (for free) that will definitely grow into a bhut (I know because they come from my plants that are definitely bhuts), as well as some other tasty superhots that in my opinion are better tasting than the bhut, and well worth growing. almost all of my seeds were sent to me for free by people on here, and postage is only a dollar.

Oh cool. Love seeing your stuff. I have got to make one of those Sam pavers this year. Just gotta! ha That middle one....LOVE!! And Sam Flag Waver is so fun. Kim you inspired me....I got one of my buckets and did the flags and firecrackers in it, for a 4th of July decor. I love old tin toys. I have several old tops, some sand pails and some extra shovels for them. But your batons and fire cracker batons really brought memories. I remember winning them at the amusment park we lived a few blocks from. Thanks for posting the pics. patti

Thanks Kathleen and Sandi. I enjoy painting things--not sure about the talent part, but it is fun to do. Cheaper than buying decorations too.

Kathleen, don't think you need another guest, you seem to have lots of company for dinner already--and it's no wonder with all the wonderful food you cook. ;o)

Thanks Karen, glad you like him. Good way to use up some old weathered fence boards my neighbor gave me, and they hold up well outside. That is from a pattern by Laurie Speltz, I have four or five of her pattern books. She designs lots of cute and easy patterns--that's what I enjoy painting. ;o) Luvs
