Thank you. I do and I put the card in the computer and it freezes up the computer for some reason. I also slid the little door over on the card and tried it a second time and it froze the computer again. Each time I had to then reboot the computer to use it. It is a new card that we purchased while on vacation. We must have purchased the wrong card. I can only seem to view the photos in the camera. I am not computer literate so now I'm stymied. I then took photos with my cell phone, but you can't see anything good as the phone doesn't take photos as well as the camera. :( I recently read another thread from a woman and her husband who installed an angled shower door and I was surprised to see that on the stationary panel they only had 2 hinges on the wall. My stationary panel has a u-channel on the wall as well as the floor. This must be the problem of why it is slipping. I don't know that the installer will change this for me or even if he can change it. I don't know if he screwed the u-channel to the tile or just siliconed it. I was not here for the install of the doors. Today it is worse than ever....now we can no longer even force them closed. I call him every morning and never get a call back. This is not a question of money. I paid a good price, not a fly by night. He is one of only 2 companies in my area. I'm just perplexed. My husband looked it all over too and says it defies logic. Especially the part of when the glass gets hot it seems to shrink not expand, so something else is clearly going on here.

I loved Louisiana, we had a place on the river, and our memories are great ones! In regards to consumer loyalty, I think that has to be earned & appreciated. For example, we were going to buy our tile from The Tile Shop. The rep we had spent a good amount of time with us and during our second visit, not only were we promised contractor pricing but there had been a price hike and he promised to honor the original prices. I was so happy with this store & the rep, I was recommending them to anyone who was interested. However, once the rep (who's paid by commission) thought he had the sale "in the bag", he conveniently changed the pricing and when I questioned it, he just brushed it off saying this was the best he could do. He didn't even look at us when he said it, or offer any other explanation. Bottom line was "his best" wasn't what he had promised and quoted in writing previously. So the pricing increased 10% across the board, our discount was lowered and I was very annoyed. Unfortunately for the rep, when I'm annoyed, I go shopping, which is when I found a tile we liked just as well for substantially less. We saved over 500.00. My DH says we should have stuck with The Tile Shop because the guy spent so much time with us, I say he didn't deserve the loyalty because he didn't keep his word and was taking advantage. It's just my personal opinion, but I don't believe loyalty can't justify spending the amount of savings you are talking about, but only you can decide what is right for you. In regards to the differences in glass thickness, I think they are both safe and it's just a matter of preference and budget. I figured that if we're not happy with the door we got, they are easy enough to change and we upgrade later. HTH -- Lukki

I have a hard time believing Weldbond can be submerged in a birdbath. this is a quote from Linlee's test "After the glues finally dried, actually 1 glue, the Weldbond took forever. I plunged the test into water for a total of 3 days. The SiliconeII looked the same coming out as it did going in...kinda murky with bubbles. Of course it was still as removable as always using a blade. Also note that this is the only one of the three that can be used for leveling. The Weldbond pretty much slid off of the glass at about 3 hours into the water bath. But note that when it actually dried it was very clear. The Mac dried fast and clear. That milky haze eventually went away. At the 3 hour mark the edges of the glue that were squished out of the test piece did start to get a milky edge. At this point it was really easy to pull this overflow off with my finger nail. But even after the 3 day mark I couldn't pry that thing off without fear of shattering the test plate."

I found this thread while looking for tips on how to avoid using silicone when fixing glass into a cabinet frame. A few years ago my husband got fed up with the rattling of the glass inside the frame. The glass had been held with tiny metal glazing tabs. So he used silicone, and it was great! The glass never rattled and it was very fixed in place. Fast forward to today when we decided to paint the cabinets and we had to take out the glass. Needless to say it was an excruciatingly long process to carefully take the glass out (unbelievably we didn't break the glass). Then carefully scrape the silicone (it can't be painted over). Then sand the wood (because paint won't adhere to the residue). This took days of detail oriented labor. I'm pretty sure a pro would never have taken on that job because it would not have been cost effective. You may be wondering why we didn't break the glass and start again. This had to do with the shape of the glass. Anyway, now we need to set the glass again, and would prefer not to use the glazing tips OR silicone. Knowing what a chore it is to replace the glass if the cabinets were to be repainted again, or if the glass broke (we have kids), I want another solution. Ideas?
