Your local hardware store should have it in either powder or liquid form and is cheap. I've only used the powdered stuff and mixed it myself. Just wipe on with a sponge, rinse off with water and towel dry -cloth diapers, are great. Yes cloth diapers, they don't leave lint - Target & WalMart should have them. I still use it and it works on porcelain tubs too. * * *I don't know if it is safe to use on natural stone! So you may want to read the box or look it up on Wiki. Thank you. I wasn't clear. My disability is simply that I can't bend my knee far enough to get in and out of a high-sided bathtub comfortably (I'm short). I want hand holds because every shower should have hand holds. Here's an example of a walk-in shower with the right kind of hand grips. But the reviews are mostly lousy (it's advertised as acrylic but it's actually gelcoat, the doors recommended in the instructions don't fit by a large margin, the shower sections don't align properly & thus leak, and so on). I'm hoping that some folks here have purchased this or other brands and can share their experiences and preferences--which brands are the most reliable? Which turned out to be a major headache to install and/or use? I am in the middle of my second bathroom remodel. 2 different bathrooms. We remodeled the hall bath for my aging parents who needed to move in with us. We removed the shower/tub combo that was an original 1970's install. We used a contractor and had a new walk/roll in shower (curbless) with bench and 2 different shower heads installed. It has a glass door. It worked great for my parents and did not change the foot print of the bathroom or previous shower/tub. It did require a complete gut and rebuild including the plumbing and drain location. It is tiled so that was also an expense. We installed blocking in the walls and grab bars. We currently use it daily as my Mastr bath is now undergoing tub removal and shower redo. We want to age in place so we are adding blocking for grab bars where we will need them later but not installing them. We planned for door swing, wheel chair access, and the space for someone to assist with bathing if needed. We do not have mobility issues currently, but I have broken a knee and an ankle and needed to rethink the shower. I highly recommend a built in shower seat and hand held shower head in addition to a regular shower head. This is a personal choice for both aesthetics and cost. I prefer a tiled shower and did not research preformed showers. Not sure how you would add grab bars to a preformed shower later as I think it would compromise the waterproofing. I consulted ADA guidelines and only installed horizontal grab bars in the shower and by the toilet, 1 in each place. Good luck, hope this helps.

I've had shower curtains all my life and I have never ever had one wrap around me. Maybe it's a quality issue. We had everything planned around having glass in both our walk in shower and our tub shower during our restoration and then I realized the only reason I was getting it was b/c everyone else was doing it, but I hated the idea of cleaning it and of having the permanent barriers there. My friends share tips for how to clean their glass, where to buy the best squeegee, how to convince husbands and kids to squeegee after they shower. I still don't get it. Seems like an expensive PIA. When we got rid of old sliding glass doors on the tub, I couldn't believe how much easier it made life - esp. with 2 small kids.
