So cleaning hardwood floors with Murphy's is safe as long as the surface is finished....Remember, Murphy Oil Soap should not be used on unfinished, unsealed, or waxed wood surfaces because they may be water sensitive. Comments (6)phila 2009, You mention the use of a rug. I have heard conflicting stories that a woven rug slides and scratches the floor while a rubber backed rug does not allow the wood to "breath." I do not disagree with the use of either though....See Morewhat to use to clean wood floors??????
Comments (9)I have laminated hardwood floors throughout my home. I have been advised to NEVER use vinegar and water on any type of hardwood floors! Always use a product for hardwood floors. Laminated floors are sprayed with a thin protective coat of something to protect them for shipping. However, after a while this starts to attract dirt and loses its glow. I was told not to use the Reguvenate product by my floor installer either. Do your research on this product. I used to use Bona, but I like the Armstrong product better.
