Comments (11)That's so true @needinfo1. I would think the shower curtain could prevent the toilet from getting wet though. Idk! @errant_gw I love those shelves, I will definitely do that! I didn't even think about cleaning. I love reclaimed wood so that will be great. I will post pictures when it's done!! Getting rid of the door to the guest bathroom is a good idea. It's a pretty far walk around though to get to the guest bedroom for someone who just showered and may be in a towel- they'd have to walk through the kitchen, living and dining room to get to their room. The layout would work a lot better in the bathroom though if we could get rid of the second door. Thanks for the ideas! this is the main floor plan that I decided to draw up one day. The square footage isn't right at all, I just guessed. But it gives the idea of the bathroom....See MoreTiny Bathroom Remodel/Stone walls & floor
Comments (8)you wont have any problem finding the same size of vanity with a very different vibe. since your baseboard heater is white, i'd go white with everything you are changing, match the metals. then go colorful on the towels and a floor mat, which will cover a bit of your tiles. i found this photo....obviously we're not talking about this style, but look how fresh the blue is when combined with beige and white....See MoreFavorite wall color for a tiny main floor half bathroom?
Comments (27)I am drawn to the first floral you posted. although I worry that my tastes tends toward to "granny" sometimes and with the pink tile want to be careful to avoid that. I hear what you are saying about a frame providing more impact, so definitely open to replacing the mirror with a framed one. I'd also like something else (a print? ) above the toilet, the medicine cabinet is empty and is not necessary for the room....See MoreTiny, dark bathroom help?
Comments (7)This bathroom is small enough that I'm not sure it actually meets modern code (e.g., 24" of clearance in front of toilet bowl), so don't change anything big. I'd take down all the tile, if possible and just put tile on the floor (and drywall on the walls). Then a new sink -- maybe a modern wall-hugger rather than trying to squeeze in a vanity -- and paint everything light and bright, with lots of good lights too. I'd follow the stained glass for accents, say gold and pale pink, but really if you can find some art that you like, that's a better guide too. Here are a few ideas: Have fun, and good luck!...See Morelipappy
