We are huge Steeler fans - we made sure that we were done eating by 4pm because our stomachs were so nervous, we couldn't eat after that :) We had: Vegies/dip Cheese/crackers PA Dutch ring bologna/Pepperoni Cold Crab dip Shrimp Cocktail Clams Casino Spread Hot Artichoke/Spinach Dip Homemade pita chips Roethlis-burgers Homemade pierogies Fudge Brownies with PB frosting Everyone stayed overnight after that emotionally draining game and got up early this morning to go home - oldest DD had to drive over an hour to get to work from here and youngest has a 3 1/2 hour drive back to college. We are glad that they are still big fans - it's something that gives us an excuse to do a lot of things together as a family :) Cindy

jewel, I think it might be the lighting, because our Mannered Gold "in real life" appears a bit darker and richer than the Blonde, but still complementary to the Blonde. The photographer who took these shots was taking pics for a homebuilder's competition and was using all kinds of lenses and things, so color might appear a bit off, or "pea colored." That being said, I initially purchased a sample can of Mannered Gold to try in the front guest bedroom and did not like it all. However, love it in the bathrooms and foyer.

Well I've stripped 3x, denatured, sanded, and steel wooled. I've got the three small drawers, one large drawer and one bin done. It's kind of a light tan tight grained wood. DH still thinks it's poplar. I think it's maple. There was a vote on the woodworking forum for mahogony but it's not beautiful enough to be that in my opinion. It's pretty, definitely in great shape but I"m still unsure whether to paint or oil finish leaving it natural. I don't think I'd want to stain it. I'm goign to try to take a pic but with the flash it'll probably not come out true to it's color.

To JellyToast: Yes, we insisted on having late fees built into the contract. I need to determine when Substantial Completion occurred, because that is when the late fees end. Maybe we haven't reached Substantial Completion yet since bathrooms are not completed. ALSO to ALL: The wood floors throughout the home were not stained in the proper finish or Any finish. I had a wood floor pro visit and he agreed.. After insisting and lying, the GC finally confessed, and all floors had to be screened and stained. This was two months after moving in. All furniture had to be moved and we had to move out for a week. Substantial Completion wasn't done at that point in my viewpoint. He lied here in a Very big way.
