Dones anyone have the GE dual fuel model C25985SETSS range? I am looking at this and am concerned about the stainless stove top? Anyone have experience with this? I love that it is free standing but yet looks like a slide in. I like that the large oven is on top and the smaller one on the bottom because I don't think I could lift the turkey from the bottom!!! All the reviews seem to be good with the exception of the stainless top is easy to scratch. Can anyone advise me on this? Thanks so much for taking the time to help!

I have a GE profile with the bottom oven being the small one. It's gas, has 5 burners and is convection in the large oven. I like it a lot. Got it at Home Depot. I think GE makes an electric one with the smallest oven on top. I didn't like that i'd have to bend over so far to get to my largest/heaviest baked items if I baked in the larger oven. The door would have folded down and nearly laid on the floor. I chose to stick to the small oven on bottom.

I read another post here that said the Jenn-Air cannot be manually lit. We may be thinking of different posts, but the recent thread about that was not about a JennAir. It was about a KA double oven range. The other WP built single oven ranges (including JennAIr) can be lit manually. Does the Bosch manual really not mention lighting without power? If customer service is too lazy to get you a certain answer, the only way to find out is to download the wiring diagram. Unfortunately BSH keeps that info locked up so only their authorized servicers can get to it. Fan noise... you'll only be able to tell by seeing the range in action. Even if someone who bought the range responds with their own experience, this stuff can vary a lot based on installation and noise sensitivity, so your opinion may not match theirs. I can't count the number of posts where some people find the noise bothersome and others don't mind at all, for the exact same product. Runtime... depends on how hot the oven was, but expect it to be anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour after cooking for any oven.

Thank you venmar ! I had always been happy with a gas oven, but I figured since the electric was all ready there, maybe duel fuel would be a good choice. As for why, kind of a long story. My 36" gas cooktop is in front of an operable double hung window and does not have a vent hood. It's very pretty and my kitchen satisfies my love for all things symmetrical like you wouldn't believe. However, we do a lot of high heat (fat) cooking and that just doesn't work without ventilation, not to mention the respiratory effects! We could put a hood over the cooktop in front of the window, but when we need to replace the cooktop, I'd probably go with 30" range because I don't need to heat a 36"oven. I'd be moving the cooking surface away from the sink, but I'd gain a very long prep counter. Six of one, half dozen of another...
