Liebherr Freestanding French Door Refrigerator Power Supply Size
Comments (7)I recall it being just a regular 3-prong plug that goes into the wall. So I think about 1-1.5" for the plug sticking out. Even if you didn't have that much side clearance, I think there are recessed wall outlets you could use in place of your current flush outlet - common for home theater behind wall-mounted TV. Then you'd only need enough side clearance for the thickness of the cord: http://www.amazon.com/Leviton-689-W-Recessed-Receptacle-Residential/dp/B0012DKBL2/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=hi&qid=1233454378&sr=8-1 I believe the recommendation for the location of the outlet has to do with the length of the refrigerator cord; if on the side you might need an extension cord....See MoreRefrigerator help! Liebherr for future or Samsung for now?
Comments (0)Sorry for the double posting if any of you have seen this elsewhere - I just do not know where I posted it! I am new to this forum, and read lots of old posts about the Liebherr 36". Actually purchased it last week when my old GE SxS died, but have not taken delivery as I'm in a state of quandry (not to mention had to rip out two cabintes and fix up the space to fit any new fridge). Since I *may* be renovating my kitchen in the near future, cannot decide if I should get something to tie me over until I know what will fit in the renovation - could be a Liebherr, could be a SZ, or GE monogram! - or keep the Liebherr and work that into the renovation. Is it really enough room for a family of 4 or will I need a back-up? I'm also concerned that the bins - which I love for being deep and long - will enable me to overload them and not find anything. How do you Liebherr owners organize your bins? I love the "deli" drawer concept in every other FD fridge, as they are flatter, and I imagine easier to store meat, cheese and snacks for the kids. So, I am contemplating cancelling my order and buying the basic Samsung full-depth FD, which is still $1400. A lot for what may become a back-up fridge! OR EVEN the newer 4 dr FD Samsung - though I prefer not to have water/ice in door... Thanks in advance for your insights....See MoreSub Zero or LIebherr Refrigerator
Comments (5)I have the Leibherr and love it. One of the things I loved about it from the beginning was how easy it is to open the door - I have to tug so hard on the Sub Zero that it makes my elbow hurt. I know it's because the seal is so good, but the Leibherr handle has a little "assist" thing, that makes it easy. Secondly, I far, far prefer the accessibility of the freezer drawers, than having to dive into that deep pull-out on the SZ. If I need to, I can just pull the Leibherr drawer out altogether and plonk it on the table. . . . Sometimes it's the little things that make something great . . ....See MoreLiebherr Refrigerator Temperature
Comments (14)"but only "Fair" in "ease of use". I can't imagine what they could be referring to if not the freezer. Could they mean the lack of all that molded plastic in some of the American models?" Consumers may be referring to the items you mentioned. The use of freezer drawers is a different concept than what the USA consumer is used to and it may require a shift in thinking and usage..depending on how one adapts to change. Also I did read a message where a person didn't like the fact that she could not store a 1 pound round container of margarine in the storage compartment. The compartment is made for butter dish not a gallon round container --Again change in concept. So far I haven't found anything annoying or inconvenient and I like the lack of sound the unit makes....See Moreeleena
