Well, I did try a couple! I wanted them lightweight, so I cut pieces of styrofoam(from a pkg), into circles, covered them in muslin circle, hot glued edges together, then took strips of checkered homespun(red) and brought it around in 2 directions to make the stripe..turned out good...did it before i went to work yesterday, so not done yet.....didnt get it tea stained yet.....will try to post pics if and when i get them completed thanks for your help

Rene,I assume to do this the leg pattern piece is seperate from the body, so seams probably run around front to back? then you flatten feet somewhat with seam on top, and sew in toes? The pattern I drafted was a 1 pattern piece body(front and back piece), 1 for head(cut 2),1 for ears(cut 2, then a pink piece for inside), and 1 for puffy tail. I think once I do some redesigning on this I will actually like it better than the McCalls pattern I bought tonight. Your idea sounds like a great help.Some of the patterns I have seen are just an "L" shape without toes, seems like yours may be slightly flattened when toes sewn in.Am I right? Tammy
