Comments (8)Thanks or the ideas. Davidtay - we are not using a trench drain. We are using standard drain by ebbe. Dianne47- I don't mind the top bar.. Just don't want to deal with the bottom track cleaning. Pharaoh - I looked at the hydro slide link and it looks like there is a track in the bottom.. Or maybe I am not understanding how it is installed....See Moreframeless shower door question
Comments (2)Here are our frameless glass doors. They are not mitered. They came with the plastic strips but my wife wasn't to keen on the idea of them so when I installed the doors, I left them off to see if they were needed. We've been using the shower for a couple of weeks now and I don't plan on installing the plastic strips since absolutely no water makes it through the space between the glass panels. However, our shower is huge; as smaller shower may get much more water splashed on the glass and through the opening....See MoreFrameless Shower Door & Shower Pan Size
Comments (5)@Lazygardens - I mentioned above we want to enlarge it to 36" W x 48"D or Deeper, but anything above a 36" Wide shower will make the closet in the bedroom we are taking the space away from not work. We are taking the large closet away from this room, and need to replace it with a smaller 48" W x 24" D Closet. As mentioned above does anyone know where I can find quality shower pans with the 36" side that has the entrance? I looked into having the pan be custom tiled, but I am worried about having long term maintenance issues regarding leaking and mold....See MoreIs my shower to small for frameless shower door?
Comments (9)Lol (I'm reading the comments thus far).. I did learn I have the u channel set up. Thanks John. Back to the org post, I'm no pro but my shower is about 46 inches wide. If you have a 42" opening then can't the installer do a set up similar to mine, but with a door that is a couple inches less in width? The door I have is the widest I could go, per the installer, so I don't see why you couldn't just do a door a couple inches less in width with the same fixed side??? By the way, my installer let me scroll thru pics on his phone of his past work. I saw all sizes with both u channels (aka the strip lol) and clamps.. My glass is 3/8" thick... Half inch cost more of course. I didn't even have him quote me half inch... Let us know what you find out...See MoreRelated Professionals
