marble floor tile -- several questions

I've finally decided that honed carrara marble is what I want on my bathroom floor. Now I have several questions that I'm hoping people can answer.

1. Do I have to seal marble? The stone place says that I do but I would like to know what I'm sealing it against. I would prefer not to use whatever chemicals there are in sealer. I assume that marble, especially on a floor, is going to show wear and I'm fine with that.

2. The place I'm looking at has tile sizes that start at 12" x 12". The price is roughly $10/sq. foot. Is that a decent price?

3. If I wanted to put it down in a smaller size -- say 6" square -- how much effort is it to have it cut down to size or is it better to shop around and find a place that sells that size? And, if it's better, does anybody have suggestions for locations where either 4" or 6" squares are sold?

4. Last, but not least, does anybody have photographs of smaller square marble tiles? Anybody have any opinions?

thank you!
