Anyone have Kronotex Laminate Flooring or similar?

Hello all. I just got Kronotex laminate flooring (that looks like wood) put down in a large portion of my home. I have always had carpet and am new to cleaning this stuff. I read that a microfiber mop works and I used one and it did get up the dirt (there is a ton of saw dust left over from the installers) but not the footprints. I have also read that vinegar/alcohol/water mixtures works well. Some people tell me don't get it wet at all though... Some say a damp mop is ok. I don't want to mess it up. Anyone have any tried and true ways to keep it clean? Do swiffer wet jets work? I have several people saying they do but when I look at the ingredients on the box it says only used on sealed hardwood not laminate (which of course isn't sealed). I have two dogs that love to track in footprints! Have a great day and thanks in advance!

I've had laminate floors (Pergo and Mohawk) for the past 8 years. We have 3 active dogs who like to continue their play indoors and refuse to learn to wipe their paws before they come in from the outside ;-).

A damp mop works well for basic cleanup. For tougher dirt, you can use slightly diluted ammonia if the vinegar/alcohol/water mixture streaks too much (it does for me). Ammonia is approved as a safe cleaner by laminate manufacturers.

I was new to laminte a couple of years ago. It took me awhile to find what worked best for me.

Daily dusting is a must for my family of six. The swiffer clothes work the best, although I hate a throw-away mentality. It just takes a minute and saves literally hours of work later.

When we get too many spots or spills, I use a microfiber cloth put onto my swiffer head. Just plain water rung out really well. I tried the vinegar, etc. Something about the microfiber really lets you wring it out, yet leaves enough dampness to mop with. I don't have to let it dry and we don't end up with footprints.

Yep..no way that it is what it appears to be. I sell about 200000 sq ft of laminate per year. That kind of deal just does not exist in a 1st quality. Shaw flooring sells more laminates than those two companies combined and they will not offer deals like that as they would be losing money. Let alone the shipping on containers is big bucks...Now I will say that I can buy truckloads of 2nds from Shaw for cheap and they normally are high grade laminates that you can not tell they are not 1st quality. Usually just off shade slightly and you will not know it. It is proof to me the white boxes in my mind.The marketing dollars is not placed into a box of laminate and the pretty color name does not enter into a cost of manufacturing. It does by not warranting it...that will make a price difference. I'd bet anything that it's 2nd quality that manufacturer boxes up generically and discounts. I;d bet anything the manufacturer will not warranty, you will deal with online people for warranty. Heck, we warrant stuff all the time on our own over the years. laminate 2nds vinyl 2nds carpet 2nds..The manufacturer wraps them differently and the store buys them as is where is. I don't know of an online distributor that buys 50 containers. Even big real Distributors fail to buy in that quantity. Haines only buys 2-5 containers max at a time and they are huge. Same with NRF and they supply laminate to all of northeast usa. 50 containers is actually more than 1000 pallets at about 12-1400 sq ft per pallet. That is 1 and 1/2 million sq ft of laminate from one company and I'll bet they say they have laminates from many many companies. No way Jose...that would be over a one million dollar purchase at wholesale amount just for that purchase. No way. Sorry. But I am sure you got a great deal, no doubt about that.
