I have one of those EuroPro steamers and it's great on hardened grease. There's other brands available from small hand helds to ones that look like little canister vacs. Check out Walmart etc.

You need a good degreaser. Try one of the citrus cleaners.

I'm with the razor blade. I had old old grease stains down the black glassy oven window and surrounding areas. Nothing would remove it. I took Dawn dish detergent and a razor blade and WOW, all that gunk came right off with total ease. It took less than a minute. t still makes me laugh - all those years of trying all those expensive products for nothing.

I like Formula 409 for new grease. Don't know how it would work on old grease.

I buy packages of single-edge razor blades. They are my favorite cleaning "tool". I even used one once, very carefully, when I had an overgrown cuticle on one of my toes.

Bread toasters, microwave ovens and the like are prone to grease and dirt and so it is important to take the time to clean them up after use to prevent further problems in the future. When used cooking oil is not properly removed, it can leave nasty stain on wall, oven pans and counter-tops. Much worse, when grease is stuck in drainage pipes, this can cause clogging.
