Miele Range Hood

Builder says I must make final decision this week on all appliances and I'm trying to stall until Monday. The range hood has been the most difficult decision. Here are the facts:

1. GE Monogram 36" induction cooktop, total wattage 13,700. Island installation.

2. 10' ceiling, 22' run to outside wall, 2 ninety degree bends and there is only room for a 6" (maybe 8" max duct). Is there a special hell for architects who know nothing about ventilation?

3. Most high smoke cooking will be done outside on the grill and I doubt that more than two burners will be going at any one time on a daily basis. Soups and stews and stocks sometimes are simmering for 3 to 4 hours so I need to run the exhaust on low continuously.

Here is the question: I love the looks of the Miele DA 250 (600 cfm, internal blower) DH says this is one of the few that can duct through the available space. Will this give me useful exhausting capabilities for my cooking style and cooktop? From what I've read on this forum this is the bare minimum but it may be the best we can do given our structural limitations. Is there such a thing as installing an in-line booster with a silencer to aid and abet my meager 600 cfm's?

Any help will be greatly appreciated.
