What tile for shower walls and floor in tiny bathroom?
Comments (1)Any suggestions at all - maybe just for a tile for the shower floor that would work with the white subway wall tile and travertine bathroom floor? I've looked on Houzz and saw a small travertine tile that might work but I'm not sure if I should match the shower floor to the white wall tile instead. Comments (15)Just stumbled across your posting. When we had our bath remodeled, the tile salesperson suggested we use larger tile in the walk area and of course smaller tile in the shower. I didn't agree. I thought the room would look larger with all the same tile. Wrong!! I used 3x3 hexagon in both areas. Now I'm going to change at least the walk area. The room looks smaller with grout lines everywhere. Also, just toured some new builds in the area and all the small baths had larger tiles. Good luck...See MoreWall tile color for grey and white carrara basketweave bathroom floor
Comments (13)It is difficult to perceive true colors on a computer monitor - so you ill need to make the final choice. Here are some basket weave floors. There a several companies that make it and in some different color tone variations, so be sure that the wall tile and floor are working well together. You might want to get a sample of the SW Sea Salt and paint a large piece of foam board to set your samples on and look at it in different lighting. The Sea Salt can change colors in different lighting. I think you are thinking of the white ice up the walls, like a wainscot: I have mosaic tile floors, though not the basket weave as it wasn't out when I did mine, and white subway tile walls in two of my bathrooms and plan to do the same in my master someday. They remain more timeless looking than my master, done in early 2000's. I did a decorative trim in one bathroom, and a simple bullnose in the other. I wish I had not done the decorative trim piece, tough it is a bit more ornate than what you are considering....See MoreBest Porcelain Tile that Looks like Brazilian Carrara or Bianco Carrar
Comments (4)Oh my! I had to rip out a Crema Marfil 24 x 24 squares in my bathroom due to a piping project in my highrise condo and it's making me sick. I had it for 30 years and it looked like brand new! Tiles were 90 % broken even though they were 3/4 inch thick. Why don't you like marble for walls?...See More66and76
