Leprechauns, Leprechauns Everywhere!

I found these two on eBay. I don't have hardly any Leprechauns except the little ones you see each season at Michaels. And since I collect Nutcrackers, I had to have this guy! My other St Patrick Nutcracker is a teddy bear leprechaun. This one is 14" high.

This guy is 12" high total with the rainbow stand. I think he looks a bit like Santa, and that's what

told me I needed him too. I got these kind of late to enjoy this year, but that's ok.

Stoney wanted to be a Leprechaun this year. Last year I made him wear those green deely-boppers

from Dollar Tree. How undignified!

And speaking of undignified....I am sure Ty and Oreo are thinking some unpleasant thoughts regarding

me right now. LOL.

Like the nutcracker and the "santa" leprechaun. Mostly, I like Stoney's outfit. Great way to announce the season.

Oh Karen, you seem to find the neatest decorations. Love all of your pictures. Nothing is escaping being decorated at your house. What does DD and DH look like?haha

My table should be done soon. I'm just looking for the right flowers. Creek, Stop that right now! Honestly, I don't have a single thought that wasn't inspired (read: stolen) from somewhere else. (In fact, I give a link to the place where I saw a frog pond table before I did mine. ) Remember, the reason for this forum is to share ideas. It's very flattering if someone is able to come away with something they nice enough to use in their own creation. So, don't stress. Yes, everyone, you have to be patient to make a little colony of the dolls. But, you see, as a child, when I saw the ones my father made (for a Teacher's Tea, I think), I was memorized! Those little things came to life before my eyes and I've never forgotten it. So you see, for me, it was more than just making a few dolls for a tablescape. It took about a week of work to make all the leprechauns. I did a lot of whip stitching in front of the TV. Last year I bought all the materials, but waited too long before I got the energy to start and there wasn't enough time to do it right. So this year, armed with the material and the patterns I created last year, I went ahead with the idea. They're sort of sweet, don't you think? Jeanne, I love those ornaments. I have some too! The block that yours is sitting on has that "a la Luvs" feel to it.

Thanks for the reply. That's exactly what I would want if they were only offered in bigger dimensions. I have the space for a bigger tub and 48x48 is just too small. Does anyone else have a suggestion???

My DIL is a teacher and she was telling me last night about a class of five year olds and their search for a Leprechaun yesterday. It seems they had a visit while they were out of the classroom at lunch. They left their trap set to catch him but he managed to get away. The trap had a small piece of green fabric in it, so they thought they almost got him. There were little footprints all over the classroom and books all over the room. When the little ones looked into the bathroom, all they found was a toilet bowl full of green water!

The kitties seem to be giving the look of "I will claw you to pieces while you sleep for this". They sure are pretty though.
Love your little Leprechaun nutcracker is adorable , I do agree the other one is very Santa-esque.
Stoney is very cute in his finery.

Punk, maybe that's why DH and my Dad are avoiding me! LOL.

MM, Ty has perfected The Glare, but I secretly think he enjoys stuff since he lays there and lets me do it. As for Oreo, my favorite "speed bump"....her idea of exercising is getting up to eat, so I doubt she'll hunt me down in the middle of the night.

I guess that Santa-like Leprechaun is rather unusual, since most are mischievious looking. I figure this must be Great-Grandpa Leprechaun tho. He's taking names and checking them twice. Better be good or no gold coins for you. ;o)

Oh, purplemoon, those pics are WONDERFUL! Love Stoney ...but LOVE your cats! TFS! You found some great stuff on e-bay...I was in town today & looked at about 5 places for St. P. but only found hats & lots of garland thing-ies & choc wrapped coins..didn't buy anything for St.P! But you sure SCORED! Way to go, girl!

Especially cool that you added to your nutcracker collection & the rainbow lep is so cute! Have fun with these!

Your darling ebay finds are making me crave Lucky Charms, they are super cute. But the furbabies are the show stealers. I'm not a cat person, but ya'll are working on me.

The rainbow with the leprechaun is super cute. Very unique. He does look like Santa!! And Stoney's always dressed nicely for the different occasions!

I actually liked Ty's decoration better last year, and his glare was also better. LOL. He's so funny as he never moves when I put something on him, he just has this "if looks could kill" attitude.

What cute pics of Ty & Oreo! My favorite leprachaun is the one sitting on the rainbow, Karen. Very cute and one I've never seen before. He does kind of look like Santa vacationing in Ireland for the holiday, though, doesn't he?

Hey Lynn, now we know what Santa does after Christmas! I've always wondered where he vacationed. LOL.

Even tho Ty is such a good sport (with flashing eyes and tail, LOL), and Oreo is a Blob, my orange trouble-cat is another matter. I'd be scarred for Life if I tried to put anything on Jazz. After shredding it, he'd shred me. LOL.
He loves to be into every single thing, but it has to be HIS idea.

How did I miss this thread? My cats must have 'willed it'! LOL I know they'd hate to be decorated altho I might be able to do something with Buster as he's pretty much a sloth. The other two would escape to the beams overhead if they saw me coming with hats!

Love your nutcracker but I'm avoiding that collection so far. Still have only one. Neat that you can use the Santa leprechaun for Christmas as well as St. Pat's. He's a cutie.

I think that bunny beside Stoney would like a bow as well! LOL

Ahhh, you always find neat stuff Miss Karen. Great that you could add to your nutcracker obsession--err I mean collection. ;o) I like those leprechaun hats, I can see Stoney sitting "still" for them--but pretty amazing that the cats did too! LOL
