Chijim...11 cats??? They must be keeping you very busy. Is that why you so seldom post any more? I miss your inspiration threads on the Decorating forum.

Countrygal, Kirk, Debby, and Karen, Thank you for more well and fun birthday wishes! Oh yeah, it's been a great week! I was telling a co-worker that I should just tell people that I turned 55 so they can say, wow, I hope I look that good at 55, instead of Oh my! I hope I don't look that old at 29!!! :-) Nope, haven't had any birthday cake, but I had a good bit of cheesecake the other night! I'm not a big cake person. I remember when I was a teen that me and my siblings got on a kick of chocolate cream pies--the frozen kind. We would request those for our Birthdays. It was a good cross between cake and ice cream and only having the dish it out once instead of twice! :-) YIKES, A BEAR!!!! Ok Kirk, now I have a vision of a bear coming in our tent when we camp on our land now....thanks! I get a little freaked out about that possibility and cougars too. The bobcats are mild and small and snakes we can avoid to the most part.... So Todd has something planned. (He's being sneaky, but a couple friends have blown his cover. My brother Rick sent me a cool email yesterday morning that brought me to tears. When he gets wordy it really means something! :-)He's such a GREAT BIG Brother! Also, my Mom brought me to tears. She gave me my GG's (Great Grandmothers) pocket watch on a necklace chain. It's about 100 years old give or take. GG was presented with it when she graduated as a nurse. (I also have a watch that was hers given at the same time). I think I had remembered seeing this particular watch once. As soon as I opened the box I knew it was an heirloom. My Mom had given it to me because she knew I'd appreciate and take care of it. (She had thought about giving it to my sister who graduated as a LVN about 1.5 years ago)....So. I cried of course....becaseu she gave it to me. :-) Well, tomorrow is an easy day to say. All I have to do is wade through water that we will be reciving tonight and tomorrow. Saturday morning is breakfast with more friends and evening with family....and who knows else? Thanks for letting me be wordy. If you don't like wordy then stop reading my post! :-) Love, Jules

Thank you so much everyone! Luvs is such a special friend, and one of the reasons I love her is that no matter what she ALWAYS thinks of others. Creek..."Maybe I'll see you on the road between the 55 and 65 speed limit!!LOL"...I had to laugh at this one. Its great. On the serious side, I appreciate your caring and humor so much when I know you've just lost your Daddy. It meant a lot to hear from you. Jim, you nut! That kitty card cracked me up. Thank you! Yep, Janie, I did get Part B on the Medicare. Very important to have that, I know. From my other post tonight, you guys know my BFF and I went to lunch and shopping for "our" birthdays last week. Yesterday she came over and spent the afternoon with me. We decorated the pink tree, tho I had packed all the Easter stuff I didn't use so had to get the ornaments back out. LOL. And she brought her laptop, so we ate a lunch I fixed and played on the computer together. She just got it for Xmas and is trying to learn stuff. Doing great I think, but needs help at times with doing albums on Photobucket and some other things. Its fun to have a buddy to sit down with in real life and do computer things. We both are already HUGE fans of Pinterest. She made me a German Choc cake, my favorite. Mr O was going to take me out to dinner, but I didn't want to go on a Sat night. So we were going tonight, but then I had a bad Fibro day and couldn't. Maybe tomorrow night! I loved all my birthday wishes, but just wonder how the heck I could already be 65!!! Thanks, Gang. You sure make my day 'special'. Its pretty much a regular day here. Doing laundry, planning what to cook Dad and DH for dinner. DH on the golf course as usual. My dad gave me some money to go shopping at the antique mall. I can't wait, and hope my legs will let me go next week. I couldn't get out this week, so treated myself to a couple of eBay things. ;o) Two of my kids will stop by this evening, so I am looking forward to seeing them. They stay so busy, even tho we live within a few miles of each other, I don't get to see them that often. So its a treat for me. If I was blowing out candles...first I'd have to call the Fire Dept. But my wish would be to feel 63 instead of 93. LOL. I need a magic potion, asap. LOL. hugs to all, Karen

Wow, thank you everyone! I WILL get back to posting better, but the decorating still is not happening unfortunately. A week ago I thought I was ready to pull out my Easter things, but wasn't able to right then. Now I find I'm back to having no 'spirit' for it again. I HATE being this way and its gone on for several years now and I want it to stop but can't seem to get back to my old self with the decorations.

Jim, how WONDERFUL to hear from you!! And I feel terrible for not sending you birthday wishes this year. I hope you had a good one. I've been on a roll forgetting both family and friends this year....its gotten beyond ridiculous. I'd probably have forgotten mine if I hadn't been reminded. LOL. Really miss you here! And seeing all your great photos. How is Selena doing? She's one of the most beautiful dogs ever I think! 11 cats....Crazy Cat Man for sure!!! :o) I'm being good, keeping mine to the 4. Some years ago I had around 12 cause I kept doing rescue on strays.

Karen, don't sweat it, you have bigger things on your plate.

Doing okay, as is my sis.
I guess I've been taking a break from decorating etc. I hope to get the spirit back too.
I did nothing for Christmas the past couple of yrs.

Sadly Selena just recently passed a few weeks back--she was 14 or 15ish.
When my dad adopted her in 2000 they said she was 1.5yrs old, but, it looked like she still had her puppy fur, so...
She did love her cats inside and out

I know you are heartsick over losing Selena. And has left a huge hole in your life, and probably all her kitty friends. Just from your photos over the years, it was easy to see how sweet and special she was. I'm glad you two had such a long, loving life together.

Your two kitties here are adorable. I love the dilute orange color. In fact Khodi almost brought tears to my eyes, he looks sooo much like my heart cat Timmy I lost some years ago! Had Timmy from 6 wks to 12 yrs, and he sure left pawprints all over my heart to this day. Animals surely do make our lives whole, as Roger Carras once said.

Can't imagine you not decorating for Christmas with your amazing things, and hopefully you'll get back to it. We DO miss you so much here. You were/are our Eye Candy Man for sure. :o)

I'm just glad you checked in and we know you're still "here" and doing ok.
