Just so you know exactly what I have...The two rings that trim out where the grab bars attach to the wall each have circlular section that are a slightly warmer tone, almost satin nickel-ish compared to the rest of the chrome grab bar. It would probably normally bother me a lot, but after a total gut renovation on this old houseI've had to let go of perfection to save my sanity. Especially on things that I might only see for a moment each day when I turn the shower water on and off. Also, at the time I was shopping for grab bars, these deltas were the style, function and best price point for us. I'd buy them again. I might request replacement trim pieces after I get a kitchen counter, but right now they're way down on the renovation's prioritized to-do list.

I hate the feel of hair on my body -- gives me duck bumps! -- so I wash my hair in my extra large MBR sink. I *could* easily wash it using the hand-held Grohe that can be positioned 'wherever' on its vertical pole. There's *plenty* of water pressure through this. The house is 14 now; no slipping, sliding, or other problems with the hand-held. (We had an old Speakman head in our condo until recent remodeling. Minimal difference.) OT: One of my favorite things in this house is the recirculator on the hot water line. This provides hot water in seconds at every hot water tap in the house. Now that I think of it, even with that fast delivery, I push the hand-held shower spray away from me for those few seconds and flip it back when the water is hot. We should start a thread on how long you spend IN the shower, after all the debate about the water delivery system!

Hi Esme Would love to help you out but not sure what additional information I can provide. What we have works, a diverter tub spout, but It is frustrating when guests use the shower because to send the water to the shower you must pull down on the bottom of the spout and it is not obvious that this piece is there or how to use it. I had wanted a single 3-way diverter that would have diverted the water to the 3 outlets but my plumber goofed from what he told me to purchase for fixtures to the way his workmen plumbed the pipes and valve. I have replaced the 3-way/6 function trim/cartridge which had 3 positions with no water (what would have been tub only, Tub + shower head, Tub + hand held) with a 2 way/3 function diverter. My new plumber was refusing to install the 2-way diverter stating that it wouldn't work properly despite the install instructions that the same rough in valve worked with either the 3-way or 2-way. The Trim Kit included the cartridge so the new 2-way fixture included a compatible cartridge. He installed it, just to prove me wrong, and it worked as I expected! He said he had a customer with the same issue and took the instructions and box so he could recommend how to fix her problem. These are Brizo/Delta Valves and Trim. I don't think the set up I ended up with is the best diverter set up. However, I received conflicting feedback from the Showroom, who consulted their Delta Rep, and the Delta Customer Service, that I contacted, on whether or not Option A (3-way diverter) would work. Good Luck! I really felt like I was the first person to want a tub, shower and hand held configuration with the amount of confusion with the Showroom, Delta and my Plumber.
