Can we do a pool if our build has started? (a loan overage questi

We built in a nice cushion..."better safe than sorry"...with our loan. But it wasn't quite enough for a full out pool. Of course, I'm also thinking there will be window treatments and things that will be necessary for the house that that extra could be used for. So when the time comes, in the end, the pool will push us about $15k more than our loan amount. What happens if we want to proceed with this? Do we have to reconfigure the whole darned loan or is there another way?

I just hate to think of putting in grass and landscaping/hardscaping in the back yard only to have it ripped up in a year or two for a pool if it can be done now. It seems like such a waste. We toyed with the idea of a pool and thought the cushion would be enough. Of course at that time, we thought we were going with stained concrete floors throughout the house. Those floors turned into wood, etc. You know how it happens...
