My two cents: the single handle faucet would look great with that sink. A very modern look.

I'm assuming you haven't ordered the sink yet? It might be obvious, but make sure you order the correct Nexus sink (LPT-790) for the faucet style you choose; they make one-hole and three-hole versions.

I think the look is absolutely fine, and one-handle faucets are great (we have two in the kitchen and one in a powder room).

One one the key things to check is how well the projection (length) of the faucet matches with the sink shape. I've seen some bad mis-matches, where the spout barely clears the back wall of the sink, making it hard to wash your hands without splashing on the sink deck. Or where the water bits the bottom of the sink so far forward of the drain hole that there's a fair amount of splashing. The faucet you indicated says it has a 4-3/8" length from the center of the stem to the center of the water output. The sink has 5-3/4" from the center of the hole to the center of the drain. So the faucet spout doesn't reach as far into the sink as the drain hole, but the water comes out at what looks like about a 30 degree forward angle, which means a steady stream of water will reach the bottom of the sink in front of the drain and just about the middle of the sink if my math is correct. That might produce a little splatter with a strong stream of water, but seems just about perfect for hand washing.

Thanks for the input. Eric, I think you're right about the water angle. The woman at the showroom seems to think it will be fine. I appreciate your pointing it out to me. What did you decide about your Toto toilet? I think I am going to get the Drake II. The older Drake with 1.6 gallons isn't as sleek as the newer one. I just hope the "double cyclone technology" is all it's cracked up to be, AND that the water surface is sufficient.
Any other opinions on the faucet?

Jeantech, thanks for asking (and following along with my saga). I decided on the Carlyle II.
{{gwi:1410600}} Just like the Drake, I think the "II" has nicer lines than the original Carlyle, plus the "II" comes in comfort height.

It's pretty funny: I started out convinced I wanted a Kohler toilet with 1.6 gallons, and that I'd place function over form. Except I didn't like the look of the best flushing Kohler (2-piece Cimarron Class 6) as much as some others. Which got me to Toto. Where I decided I liked the look and features of the 1.28 gallon toilets more than the 1.6 gallon choices. So the one thing I was sure of when I started -- that I didn't want a low flush toilet -- is exactly what I ended up choosing, ultimately putting form before function! I hope all the positive comments longtime Toto owners have about their toilets carry over to these newer models, and that the Toto customer service rep I spoke with, who assured me that the double cyclone flush is definitely the best flush Toto makes, is right!

And of course, when I went to order one, I found no one had one, and lead times of 4-5 weeks or more. After finally making up my mind, the one I chose wasn't available?! I almost had to give up on it. I finally found a dealer who called Toto to check availability and said they could get one in 7-10 days. Whew! Now I just have to hope it arrives as promised.

I ordered one for the guest bathroom now underway, but I'll need another toilet when we move on to the master bath next month. I'm hoping we'll get this one in and be able to use it for a few weeks before I have to order the second one. Here's to hoping I'll like the Carlyle II so much I can't wait to order another! :)

Back to your faucet... One of the ones we're considering for our master bath is a Grohe Tenso, which is somewhat similar

(and, sadly, about twice the price!), so I definitely like the look. One of my concerns for us is that this Grohe faucet may be too small and not in proper scale to the 5' wide vanity space we'll have, but I think the AS Serin you're considering is very nicely proportioned for that pedestal sink. Eric: the Carlyle II is very nice. I hope you'll be happy with it. I would rather have ordered the matching Nexus toilet, which is very sleek, but it won't work with my plumbing.
