I personally find Dacor's customer service to be seriously lacking. I have had their products in my own kitchen before, and thought they performed well, but had a client (I'm a designer) with a terrible experience. She paid for the beautiful new Millenia oven and only after 9 months and 3 replacements did she receive one that worked and had no defect. The products are good, but it was ridiculous how bad the customer service experience was. It was also silly that only my involvement as the designer brought any kind of resolution. I didn't sell the product, just fought on my client's behalf. Numerous phone calls over months were made. The cs staff is very skilled at commiserating and sounding concerned, but bad at offering any real resolution. I think other threads on this board would back that statement up. They finally do the right thing, but it takes a lot of buzzing in their ears. I'm no longer recommending their products to clients.

I think the electrolux is fairly new compared to the Decor or Wolf. But someone who owns one would be a better judge. Also, not sure if you are comparing apples to apples. I don't think it is in the same price range as the decor or Wolf. With all that said, I searched for 6-9 months. Read every single forum on this site regarding ranges and talked to appliance store who sold many of my choices and this is what I will be receiving shipment on next week for my new house. The WOLF 36" DF range. I honestly looked at the Dacor, THermador, Viking, and I forget the other one but very similar to the decor. I liked the look of the Thermadore better then the Wolf, but there had been some small issues with the Thermadore and I just couldn't find any negatives with the Wolf. Hope this helps.

Stay away from Kitchen Aid, they're in denial as it regards issues with their ovens. In 2004 we purchased the Kitchen Aid Dual Fuel Convection range and have regretted the high priced purchase ($2800) ever since. Experienced nothing but problems, repairs have been numerous, the door is still lopsided after repair broke two, can't clean the oven without having to call repair afterwards, and now the oven is once again inoperable. The same problems continue to plague the machine, again and again. As of tonight we've decided to dump the stove. Dinner was burned while the temperature was set to 350 and the broiler engaged. Even with the control knobs turned off the broiler continued and the door locked, which resulted in the food or pot knobs/handles catching fire and necessitating disconnection of power. My eyes are still burning from the smoke. After waiting until the oven finally cooled, we turned power on and the safety lock finally disengaged, but even with the controls turned off the broiler once again turned on. This is not the first time this has happened or the first time this issue has been addressed by repair. Tired of calling repair we learned that sooner or later the broiler won't go on, and all will be normal for months at a time. KA suggests turning the breaker off and calling repair as it is a fire hazard. Been there done that, but after numerous repeated repairs KA still refuses to accept that the unit is a lemon or that they're selling faulty equipment. Now we're out of warranty. Figure that during the first year of ownership KA paid more for warrantied repairs than we originally paid for the unit, and due to repairs we were without an oven for approximately one-eighth of the short life of the unit. KA might look like the one you want, but remember - looks don't always matter.

Thank you all for the additional information. The main problem I'm having is I have to decide ASAP since the cabinetmaker will not start until I nail this down - he's supposed to start Monday and we're already 8 days behind schedule. The original plan was the Viking+Electrolux, and wiring has been done already. My original original plan was a cooktop + double ovens, but that didn't work out since there was no other place for the MW. So it was suggested to put the second oven under the cooktop. I convinced myself this was better in case either broke, I could replace each easier/cheaper - this may not be true. A couple days ago I thought, why not a Wolf range (since I was revisiting the whole thing) --- but with them being so expensive, and having to redo electrical --- I thought maybe it's easier just to go with the original plan. I'm glad you sent the info on the Bertazzoni since it looks like that cooktop would actually work with my oven -- I was worried I'd be limited since the Wolf cooktop plus some others will NOT work above the Electrolux oven. So I do have some options there if I need to replace.... Thanks again!
