I love to make things for my fairy gardens from polymer clay. Can I spray them after their baked to make them shiny?

Test any spray you might want to try; some will degrade the clay and make it sticky. forever.

Some folk use Future floor polish as a glaze on polymer clay. I've gone so far as to buy some, but haven't used it yet.

I know this is a long time from the first posting, but... be very careful about what you use. MOST spray-type finishes will over time chemically interact with the clay and leave you with a mess. Use WATER-based polyurethane for your surface protector, and it will withstand weather and sun. It's the same stuff they put on wood floors. Just be SURE it's WATER-based. The only SPRAY protector that I know is safe for polymer clay is PYM2. Amazing stuff, works great if you specifically want spray.

Rosie- in my opinion there is surely enough interest to sustain a publication on Polymer clay. You have to have a good printing house and it is pretty much a full time effort to publish anything of quality. Say, with the level of Expressions, or the Somerset publications. You just touch the cover and the feel of the paper lets you know this is a good magazine. There are publishers that deal with niche market hobbies & I wish one of them would get on board. Anyway, the guild is for anybody regardless of skill level. As long as you love PC you can join. Even my personal favorite, the incomparable Kathleen Dustin was a beginner at one time, lol! Karen

That's just adorable ! I was going to jump in with 2 feet to do polymer clay - something I've always wanted to do . I did my usual - buy all the stuff and learn later . Well - "ALL the stuff is still in the basement - ready to be used" . *sigh* Your stuff inspired me to get at it ! I have to learn to stop being so uptight about getting everything RIGHT - and just have fun like you did .
