If MiraceGro and StaGreen contain any fertilizer then I don't want it. Why? Since all container plants have to be fed in some fashion much more often than in-ground plants what difference does it make if the mix comes with some already in it? If you want the mix to be strictly fertilizer free then you'll have to do as Joe suggested, make your own. Even the so-called "organic" mixes have fertilizers in them. They are just different types - dehydrated chicken manure, feather meal, cottonseed meal, etc. rather than slow release N-P-K and micro-minerals. And you pay a great deal more for them. When people say there's no point in going organic in containers, I shake my head, it almost gets me angry.. You can make a great environemnt for your containers just as you do in your soil.. No point in getting bent out of shape Joe because the argument is valid. Just don't take it out of context. Organic fertilizers will not work in a container unless you also add the beneficial bacteria required to convert them to a form usable by the plants. Sterile potting mixes do not have those bacteria. They must be added by the grower in some form. You do that by adding inoculated with mycorizziah fungi, and other beneficial bacteria. and/or compost. In other words, make your own. So if you are going to make your own mix, why pay for the expensive "organic" potting mixes? Miracle Grow, StaGreen, FoxFarm, ProMix BX, Metro Mix 360 and many other brands of potting mixes also have mycorrhizal fungi already added to them too. For 1/3 of the price of the fancy mixes. So if you don't want to buy all the ingredients to make your own mix, if you don't have or want to buy compost and/or mycor fungi to add to the mix, if you don't want ANY fertilizers in the mix, and if you don't trust any of the commonly used brands of potting mix available then you are up the creek without a paddle when it comes to container gardening. For the last time, this is a Container Gardening forum discussion and is discussed there ALL the time and that forum contains tons of information on all aspects of this issue including recipes for make-your-own mixes, the reasons and need for inoculating mixes, the issues associated with the "organic" mixes, the problems with using them in containers, explanations for why containers must be fertilized so frequently, and why "houseplants" have nothing in common with growing vegetables, etc. For what it is worth I have been in the nursery/landscaping business for over 50 years. I container garden extensively as well as in ground and have for decades. I have used the 5-1-1 mix but prefer ProMix BX over any other mix but when I run out I have used both MG and StaGreen with no problems and prefer StaGreen because it has bark fines added. I routinely inoculate all containers regardless of the brand with my homemade and manured compost and feed all containers weekly with liquid organic supplements. How you choose to do it is up to you. What do the plugs look like ? You may have a dodgy shift cable or linkage. MAP sensor - isn't that for fuel injection ?

Yo Ken, if your still around your up on this one. Far as Composites go I am with the Larry/whoever We are for the most part. Composites are really no longer using recycled material because there is just not enough of it so most of the raw stuff is virgin, the energy used to make composite is an enviro no no, when its time to remove the project composite is not real big on bio degrade its tricky to burn shreading it would be silly. Bottom line composites are not so enviro freindly. Info like that might suggest its not all that good to clean it either, with anything. I dont agree>> composites will out last Ipe, left to go silver/gray Ipe is as close to no maintance as a person can get. With the softer composites like Choice/MoistureShield even trex= tjunk I have found a coat or two of TWP 116 seals up the decking, locks in the color and keeps mold, mildew, stains from causing major problems. Of course not needing to do this is the reason the Wallet goes for composite in the first place. I my own self dont like composites at all for the reasons stated in several posts here and on other sites. Welcome aboard Larry!!! Sorry I dident understand your intent at the begining . John

I've had several that I liked. My blue Formula Firebird was my favorite. A tree had fallen on my previous car so I bought my Firebird after work getting only one brief look with a flashlight while shopping after dark. I thought I was buying a 4 cylinder transportation special because I never even looked under the hood. Only after I went to pick it up and actually test drove it that it began to sink in that I owned a real sports car. Because I thought I was dealing on a just a cheap set of used wheels I had offered the dealership half the asking price and they accepted so I pretty much stole the car from them. Much of the engine had been modified for even more power and the tires were burned off the back so it looked like a risky deal. It cost me a couple thousand to put new tires, brakes, battery, shocks, and a muffler on it but that put it in in great shape. After getting 11 mpg for a couple months I had some of the performance parts taken out of the engine and mileage jumped to 20 mpg... not bad for a car that go from stopped to over 100 mph in less then 10 seconds. It was frightening to step on the gas as the whole car would twist out of shape as the engine roared to life causing it to head for the ditch if you didn't have both hands on the wheel. I was a bit younger then and totally enjoyed the thrill... good thing I live in cow country or I would have been ticketed to death. I drove it up till 3-4 years ago when it developed some minor mechanical problems. I parked it in the driveway one day and started driving my Bravada truck to work and there it still sits. For a couple thousand I can fix it up with a new paint job and probably drive it for a few more years... if I ever get around to it. The Bravada was a very close tie for favorite with All Wheel Drive and four doors. It was a much better truck then my current Blazer. : ) michael
