The abs and low trac lights are likely related. ABS is the anti-lock brakes, and TCS is the traction control system which needs the anti-lock brake module to function correctly. The TCS lamp will come on with just about anything that sets a trouble code in not only the ABS but also many of the fuel injection system hard faults will cause it too. The TCS operates by the computer first quickly detuning the engine when it senses one of the front wheels spinning, which it detects through the ABS wheel speed sensors. Then if necessary the ABS actually starts pulse locking the brake on the wheel that is spinning, and that causes power to transfer to the other wheel, increasing grip, and reducing wheel spin. I suspect you have an ABS system issue that will need diagnosed. The red arrow down lamp is a good question, I can't think of what that might be off hand. First suggestion is to check the owners manual and see what they are using that for, but of course somehow I expect your gonna say the car didn't come with the owners manual. I'm away from the shop so I can't even check my information system to see if its listed, but really I would not expect it to be, or at least it will be difficult to search for it by what the light looks like.

I have no idea what's wrong with your car. An egr valve sticking open will cause poor idling, and tapping the accelerator can sometimes get a sticking egr valve to close. EGR valves do accumulate carbon in them. The mechanic could be right on the money. Could be something else too. Why didn't he replace it in the first place if he thought that's what it was?

Hi johndeere, There ahould be a cap where you fill the washer tank.The tank might be hidden in the fender You are right the tank is hidden in the fender, it is on the left side fender (Drivers side), he found that, but there doesn't seem to be a cap anywhere. He pointed it out to me but I didn't see any cap either. I will give him the information you gave to me here. He just may be over looking it. Thanks a bunch! Hi chad said, Look in the glove box. Many cars include an owner's manual located there, designed to answer questions such as this. You are absolutely right chad, you would think they would keep the manual in the car, especially in the glove box. Well, I am sorry to say there was no manual in the glove box. He is wanting to restore this car, but I think he has a lot of work to do on it and not having a manual will make it harder for him to find things. I've read all of the comments here and I finally had a chance to watch the segment on I Am Home. This is what I saw and heard regarding Will.I.Am. He appeared to be shy, humble and passionate about his quest and his goals. I also watched the second tape where he gave his grandmother a house and went back to visit his old home. This is a man that grew up poor and as an adult has decided to give back. Frankly, after watching the segment, how anyone could question his motives is beyond me. Here is a successful young man who is NOT in the news daily being talked about doing drugs, drinking, beating anyone or doing anything negative and instead of his venture being received positively, there was immediate negative energy. I just don't understand that. You know folk often criticize the news, media and TV for often portraying negative information about celebrities and here we have something positive and still there are complaints. I think it is fantastic what he is doing and I intend to contribute to his fund. Lurkkish thank you for bringing this to our attention because frankly, I've heard more lately about negative things regarding celebrities going on and had not heard a word about this. Really, I mean how sad is the fact that such a wonderful cause is going on, yet hardly any press has put been put out there about it. Also, here is another tidbit that many may not know about, often young musical celebrities like Will.I.Am have charities and give back but this fact is not often reported, rather the focus is on the bad boys and girls of the music world and all the crazy shenagins that they do.
