Right now it is looking at my new sparkly burgundy mobility scooter! I am thrilled to finally have my own. My little dog makes me smile every day and quite often both of us laugh out loud at her silliness and playfulness. The days I have less pain and can actually get some things done! Seeing all the beautiful plants and flowers in the atrium and yard, we have had a wet summer which is pretty unusual and the grass, plants and flowers are happy.

Another feel good dog story for you. Yesterday DH and I were in the front yard trimming a bush. The new neighbor, with her Border Collie on a leash, from 3 houses down walked up past apparently seeking some time out and exercise. I have not met these people yet, but I have often seen the dog engaged in games of fetch across the back yards. The woman and the dog came back past about 30 minutes later and the dog was carrying a large stick, about 18' long and an inch thick. I laughed and called to her saying, "it looks like someone has found a treasure to take home". She responded, "Yes, and you wouldn't believe how far he has carried it, there was no changing his mind." Yes, happy dogs and their people....a mood lifting thing.

Lower left corner, the santa nesting dolls that I got in Estes Park probably 30 years ago. 2 year old grandson gets to play with them, but last nite he took off with them. I cant find them anywhere today. First place I looked was toilets. Little things! Not $$ valuable but I love them. My children played with them in the car all the way home from Estes. He will come over today to see if he knows where he put them.

I have been super enjoying my daughter and her boyfriend living here, even though, it was nothing any of us chose. We're learning each other. But I think we're getting there. He met the HVAC guy so that they would get the upstairs to their liking (they have the entire floor to themselves, and he was supposed to have installed enough to make it like the rest of my old house. He finally got it right yesterday). He thought he was knocking on the door, so he answered it. It was salespeople. UGH! He told me that he made an appointment for them to give an estimate on how much it would take to replace my roof. I thought he was kidding. I wrote back, "if you really did that, I'm gonna lick the lid of all your beer cans", which he thought was funny. We're becoming a family! Awww. As a side note, he figured out why I said I didn't really want an estimate. Nothing like teaching a life lesson in a funny way! He called them back and told them "I'm sorry, I misrepresented the home owner. They don't want an estimate" and they hung up on him. I told him they weren't as interested in him as they seemed, but he sure found out what I meant today when they didn't thank him or say anything. Just hung up on him. Oh. He understands now! Kids are funny.
